Porphyrin is a pigment in blood protoplasm and other body fluids that is significant in body energy and storage. Let x be a random variable that represents the number of milligrams of porphyrin per deciliter of blood. In healthy circles, x is approximately normally distributed with mean μ = 40 and standard deviation σ = 9. Find the following probabilities. (Round your answers to four decimal places.)

    (a) x is less than 60

    (b) x is greater than 16

    (c) x is between 16 and 60

    (d) x is more than 60 (This may indicate an infection, anemia, or another type of illness.)

  • I used to wear my hair in a ponytail all the time now I have a bald spot, help?

Okay so when I was in 5th grade I ALWAYS wore my hair down, then in 6th grade I wore it up the whole year including at home, I only wore it down like a few days, 7th grade up every day besides a few days and same with 8th. D=

Now where I pull my hair back (I part down the middle) There is a little bald spot. I'm 14 years old and it drives me insane. I always wore my hair up because I have really thick, wavy, sometimes frizzy hair that takes forever to straighten. If there anyway to fix my hair??? I have decided that If I ever where my hair up again I will put a bump in my hair so it doesn't pull on that part.

Will my hair grow back? I'm really upset over this... anything else I should do???

I'm going to always wear my hair down from this day on, I guess I'll just have to embrace my thick and frizzy hair.

  • How do you know what the right lead is?

Okay I'm so confused. How do you know what lead the horse it suppose to be on? Like does it matter what direction your going, what if you in the middle of the arena or not in the arena? How do you get the horse to change leads (I saw somewhere to move there hip)?

I know that the lead is like which leg goes farther, so the left lead would be the left leg going farther right? Can you tell easily what lead your horse is on?

  • What should I do with the baby rabbits?

Okay so this morning, my dog found a rabbits nest underneath our deck. The deck is blocked off, but my brother was mowing the lawn and left the gate open and the dogs got one and the other two left the nest. When we found out, we went under the deck and found 2 out of the nest. We had to pick them up and put them back into there destroyed nest, because we didn't want the dogs to get them again. The two that are left are not hurt or touched by the dogs at all, they were touched by us when putting them back though. I looked on google to find a way to know if the mother came back, and I found something that said to put 2 sticks in an X over the nest (so I did) It has been about 5 hours, but I didn't know if she might come back overnight... There was a rabbit in a bush in our front yard, but that may or may not be her. I don't want them to die, and if I have to I will feed them. Leaving them there without their mother is not an option. (I will leave them there until morning and see if the sticks have moved.)

Do you think the mother will come back?

  • Can I have some tips on jumping on bareback?

(not jumping as jumping... Getting on a horse bareback I should say)

Okay, I'm 5'8" (not overweight) my horse is 15.3 hands. I love going out to the pasture and riding back to the gate but to do this I have to find a tree or big log. I watch some video that showed to how to and thought I could do it... I was wrong I went up there, I tried just pulling myself up nothing, I tried running and jumping ha ha fail. I tried some swing thing, erm ouch. I can get my leg up sometime but then I slide down...

Please don't say more practice! I try all the time... without any hope. I was just wondering if there was maybe another way to do it.

  • How do I get my horse to behave a little better?

I own a 10 year old Mustang Mix gelding named Dudley I have owned him for for almost 4 years now, and he nudges me around, pull me sometimes, and when I'm trying to canter him he sometimes starts kicking or bucking! When I do poles he tries to kick when turning at the far pole, and when doing barrels he bucks rarely when coming back. On trails when trying to cross the street to go to the horse trails that are across the street he hesitates and it's not very safe. He also attempts to bite when tightening his girth.

When we bought him he was owned by a young girl who's parents had bought him for her to show and he turned out to be just a little to much for her, and we got him fairly cheep. At first he was terrible! But I love a challenge, he hadn't been rode in 3-4 months, and only had his 2 daily turnout. This was years ago and although he has gotten much better, he still has some issues.

I'm only almost 14 years old, but I have been riding since I was like 5, I love him to death it is just a little embarrassing when I'm in the arena and he starts kicking.

  • What should I get for my birthday, I love horses?

Okay, so my birthday is coming up soon... I always have a hard time deciding what to get! I want it to involve horses this year, I own one horse and I ride western and a little english. I'm going to be 14.

    What I thought

Western Saddle - eh. I already have one, and it would be the only thing I would get probably.

English Saddle - I have one, but still maybe, but my horse isn't much of an english horse.

Horse - I WOULD LOVE ANOTHER! I have asked at least 100 times, not going to well.

Grooming Supplies - Well... That's not that good of a gift. But I actually like brushing.

Horse Jumps - Gee I wish I could jump!

Jeans - I have at least 15 pairs... Maybe still.

    Halter - Got 3 or 4 already

    Bridle - It possible...

Car - not horse related, and not old enough but I want one xD

Horse Books - I don't want to read I want to ride!

Money - I'd rather get something that's ready for riding, I would also have a hard time deciding what to get. ):

GAH I have no idea! I don't want to get a gift card because I'll end up losing it, or something!

Please! Tell me what you think I should get!
