do i need to further simplify this? is it even close to right? my teacher didn't go over this concept at all in class she just threw a few harder problems at the end of the homework to "challenge" us.

((i also have done some work with that and gotten it to (x-4)^2 +(y-4)^2 = 8(y-2) so if that's what i need to change it to..))

I'm currently 110 pounds, and 5'7". I would prefer to be much lighter (under 100).. Can someone please help me with losing weight? It's really hard to drop any..

I like my best friend but SHE doesn't like girls and she is currently obsessed with some other dude who wants nothing to do with her. To help me get over things, I like to listen to songs that clearly describe my situation. My problem is that that since I am female, I prefer to listen to female singers, and it's very hard to find songs written by women about other women. Can anyone offer me some suggestions, or advice would even be helpful?

I just got my ACT scores back and I got a 30. My lowest was 28 in science, I had 30s in math and reading, and I had a 31 in English. Is that good for someone my age? When I took it last year I got a 26, so is this a good improvement?

As of right now, I am 5'6"-5'7", and I weigh a little under 100 pounds. I will most likely end up around 5'8" as I am only 14. I will most likely stay this thin for a while because while I had my growth spurt from 5th to 8th grade I grew almost 1 foot taller but I only gained 15 pounds. Will I be able to be a catalog model?

the story of you and this guy you liked in 5th grade (its cute) but by eighth grade, when you see each other at a school event, you find yourselves fallen again. You are very self conscious about your already low weight and become anorexic, attempting to impress him. He becomes depressed without you, cutting himself to the thought that you have absolutely no feelings for him anymore. You don't show up on the first day of ninth grade because its your last day at the hospital dealing with your eating disorder, and he thinks you didn't come because you wanted to avoid him. He is pushed over the edge. He writes a suicide note (with a lot of mentions of you in it) and swallows a *nearly* lethal dose of pills. He slips into a coma, and you visit him every day, writing him little notes. You can barely sleep knowing that this is all because of you and your stupid disorder. After 1 and 1/2 weeks of him being in coma, you start to cut, and you discover it feels good. You are devastated that after 1 month of being in a coma, he has slipped into a non permanent vegetive state. (What they don't tell you is that his parents refuse to take him off life support.) You can't take being without him and you just stare out your window for hours on end. Your perfect grades start slipping. One day, during PE, (you are in the swimming group this month) you jump off the diving board perfectly. Everyone applauds, but you never hear it because as soon as you touch the bottom of the pool, you inhale a sharp breath of water. You come back to the surface, and everyone's confused faces are met with your body floating upside down. The lifeguard manages to keep your heart beating until the paramedics arrive. We are going to be singing a small excerpt of the song "Somewhere" from West Side Story, and we will be taught a short dance that we will perform in small groups. Is there anyway that I can better prepare myself for these tryouts? I'd really like to make one of the show choirs.

I have been told that I am a very good singer, and my choir teacher loves me for it, but I am not the *best* dancer… so when we learn the dance should I go all out performing it, or just do it like I normally would?

When I was in fifth grade, I likes this guy and he liked me, and we had a really good connection and everything you'd expect from puppy love. We were both in the advanced class, but there were two different schools in our township. He moved and in sixth grade he was in the other school's advanced class. I only saw him a couple of times over the next few years, but today (I'm in eighth grade) I saw him and I almost fainted because I was so overwhelmed at the sight of him. He didn't become cute or anything, I just saw him and was swarmed with all the memories. I think he still liked me, because he had no reason to stop. I was really awkward and weird in fifth grade, and he liked me then. I also haven't changed the way that I looked since then, I just grew about 7 inches and gained about 10 pounds. He also told me that the only reason that we weren't together by the end of the year was that he didn't want to break my heart when he moved away. Sooooryyy I'm rambling, but should I pursue him or not. We will both be in the same school next year.

I am about 5'6" but I am only 13 and not done growing. My waist is 23" and my hips are about 30". I weigh a little less than 100 pounds, but I think that I may be to fat to be a model. I'm not concerned about breast size, because I'll probably never be anything bigger than a AA.

I have never liked a guy whose name did not begin with the letters B, C, or J. It is the weirdest thing. I have liked probably about 15 guys all my life and not a single ones name does not begin with one if these letters. Is that weird? Is there something that would cause this?
