Poll: Have you ever been mortal?
And if you have, did you get wrong for doing something you had no memory doing?
I've never even been tipsy never mind mortal. I'm a lifelong teetotaller.
8 AnswersPolls & Surveys7 years agoPoll: Who else thinks Answers has taken off at warp speed today?
I've used up my eighty answers on P&S alone and I've only covered the questions that were posted in a three or four hour period. I'm not used to this anymore, I mean, it used to be like this in the good old days of the mid noughties but not any more.
All they need to do is to make us unlimited again and I'll be happy.
3 AnswersPolls & Surveys7 years agoPoll: Straights: When did you decide to be straight rather than gay or bi?
Obviously, you made the conscious choice to be straight as many people have told me I made a choice to be gay so it must be the same for you.
13 AnswersPolls & Surveys7 years agoPoll: When did you START getting homework at school?
Back in the 70s, we didn't get ANY homework until the fourth year juniors ...... to prepare us for the Comp and boy did we get loaded in the first year. We needed that sports holdall we carted from class to class to carry all our books ...... ahhhhhhh, happy days.
20 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoHow did Cutna die in House?
I've just watched his funeral episode from series five, which means that I watched his death episode an hour ago but I wasn't paying attention and actually went for a shower while it was on. You can guarantee that when I don't pay attention, something happens.
Unfortunately, I've deleted it from my planner so I can't go back and see for myself.
4 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoWhat are your Independence Day plans?
Happy Independence Day to our American brethren ... and sistren. Before you say it's not Independence Day, it is 4th July in the UK by two hours and since the original borough of Washington is within the boundaries of the town I live in, we mark it a bit.
14 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoPoll: Why don't people like questions about it getting light?
I've asked whether its getting light three times now and all three times I've been reported within minutes of it being posted.
I can't see why anyone would have a problem with it.
I'm interested to know what time it starts getting light where everyone is. In the North East of England at the moment it's about two thirty and since I work nightshift, I'm often awake all night on nights off, like tonight.
I know that if you're closer to the equator, it will be later.
6 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoPoll: The Voice UK. Holly's dress. Hot or not?
Seriously. She's gorgeous to start with .... can't keep my eyes off that dress.
6 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoPoll: How many other people go back to being unlimited after 1am?
It's 1.45 am and as I suspected, after running out of my eighty answers, I've got eighty more but after submitting each answer, I still have eighty ....... I'm loving it.
8 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoPoll: Do you live near the borders of time zones?
If so, have you ever crossed to celebrate New Year's twice? I'm watching Frasier and they just have.
5 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoWhere do strict muslim families go on holiday?
Genuine question.
I was just looking at photos of my last big holiday in Aruba and it got me wondering where devout muslims go on holiday as you don't see many niqab-wearing ladies on package holidays to the sun.
I know the Hajj is a sacred obligation but I do occasionally watch Muslim TV channels and from what I can gather, the Hajj can be very expensive.
Do they even go on holiday? I also know that financial credit agreements (usary), celebrating birthdays etc are frowned on.
8 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoPoll: Are you 'white and nerdy'?
Guilty as charged ...... I've been listening to Weird Al Yankovich.
13 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoUK. Will my prescription have changed?
I'm 47 and have worn very strong glasses since I was three. I was a -7 about six years ago and haven't had a test for about four years.
I've been squinting at things a lot lately and find things are blurry.
I was told that -7 is one of the more extreme prescriptions and not many people (unless registered blind one assumes) have worse eyesight.
Advice please.
3 AnswersOptical8 years agoUK. How much is an eye test these days?
3 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoGoogle 'Penshaw Monument' and 'The Angel Of The North' .......?
......... and tell me which you would rather have on your doorstep.
That angel thing is ugly, a hunk of rusty metal overlooking the M1. The Geordies are welcome to it.
I'm a Mackem and whenever I'm on the A19 coming home, I see Penshaw (pronounced 'Pensher') and I breathe a sigh of relief ...... I'm home; it's a beacon, a gateway to Sunderland.
Do you have a landmark local to you that has a similar affect?
4 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoPoll: Can you hoover your house or flat from just one socket?
9 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoPoll: When you hoover, do you use a Henry?
I'm using his sister, Hetty, at the moment, like.
6 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoPoll: How often do you hoover?
1.15am now and I'm just about to hoover at work.
6 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoAmericans ..... this is not a hateful question but ......?
How widespread is the use of knives?
Let me explain. I'm watching Rules Of Engagement and in a diner scene, three of the main characters were having a plateful of something for lunch ... no knives were being used nor any on the table.
In the background, none of the extras were using knives and when I visited Miami a few years ago, my friends and I went out for lunch and they were surprised when I used a knife AND a fork.
I know you are a sophisticated people but was wondering if it's a cultural thing.
