  • What kind of wood is this?

    My boyfriend has just come into a considerable amount of freshly cut wood for potential guitar-building purposes. I'm just trying to help him identify it so he knows what he's working with.

  • Instrument distribution question?

    Alright so... I run a music shop. It's small right now, but we're trying to get some better products on our shelves. Now this is a definite long-shot, but does anyone know of any brands that offer consignment to dealers? If there are any, they'll probably be a hidden gem; none of the distributors I work with offer it anymore due to pretty much being screwed to hell and back by bad dealers. Any info at all would be appreciated.

  • Good Ska Punk Distortion/Overdrive Pedal?

    I play in a ska punk band, mostly in the styles of Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish, Catch 22 and the like. My cleans are excellent, but my old distortion pedal finally ended up breaking, and I'm willing to spend up to about a hundred dollars on a new one that isn't from Target this time. Looking for one that's got produces a fairly warm tone, but has the ability to be versatile. Preferably of the BOSS models, simply because it's what is readily available to me, location-wise. I'm already ruling out the DS-1, since I haven't been reading many favorable reviews on it. Mostly debating between the OS-2 and Turbo Distortion DS-2. Anyone with experience with these models, or other BOSS models, what did you think of it/them/whatever you had?

  • Looking for a song in Guitar Pro or Power Tab?

    So I've checked Ultimate-Guitar.com for tabs for the song Happy by Lit. All they've got is a 3 star Guitar tab. Here's the thing, though. Not only do I need relatively accurate tabs, but I need it in Guitar Pro or Power Tab, complete with the horns, bass, AND guitar tracks. My band and I want to try to learn it and cover it at a potential gig, and anyone that might be able to do it, or know where I can find a file with what I want, would be MUUUUUCH appreciated.
