Two of my friends are subcontractor that were working for a small company in California.

They did the job but now that its time to pay!!, the company is giving them the run around and finally told them to go to small claims. But no attorney wants to take this case.

What can they do? Better Business Bureau? Small Claim? Media Court?

I was going hiking a mountain! . I am going up the mountain, and there is a $20.00 bill in the dirt pathway, then there is a $1.00, then another $20.00 lots of them! but I also found $100.00!!!; my boyfriend was right behind me, there was somebody else besides me, just don't remember who?

It has been hot in California and I am about 8 weeks pregnate, however! I get really thirsty at night! specially in the middle of the night, that at times I will wake up coughing, is this is a symptom of diabities during pregnacy? or is it the just the weather?

The story below is from my local news, I am not going to copy everything but yet enought to know that the foster care is at TIMES! not the best thing to some childrens.

In a press release released Friday night, police said that Portis (37 year old male) was previously employed by Penny Lane's Foster Care/Foster Family Agency. A 16-year-old Latina reported to police that while seeking drug counseling, Portis engaged in a sexual relationship with her, said Los Angeles Police Detective Karen Crawford. No other details were immediately available.

I know that this is not the first kid that goes thru something like this, how can there be adults that would take advantage of kids? I honestly don't understand! kids reach out to adults for help and not for abuse. What is your opinion on this case? I know in the past I ask a similar question about the foster care. However, it is one of the things I feel pretty strong about the need for making changes.

Please help me with this dilema, what are the pros and cons to have the trophy? or to be the trophy? would both of them be superficial?

When I say trophy meaning to have the good looking guy with you? or to be the good looking girl for the guy? Do you know what I mean?

I in Southern California and want to get a part time job serving beer in the concerts or in the special events, any idea of how or where to go? Thank you! for your help.

My son is very interested in becoming a Marine or a Navy and making it his career. I am not against this however, I have some reservations. I suggested him for us to go and talk to a recruit officer or just get information of people that are in. Some of my family member are in the Air Force, Navy or Army but no Marines. I am sure as he gets older he might change his mind but for now I would like to get him all the information about it whether is good or bad. Your opinion will help him and me. Thank you.

Fresno Coach Awarded $5.85M In Discrimination Suit

(AP) FRESNO, Calif. A jury has awarded a former volleyball coach at Cal State Fresno $5.85 million in damages, ruling that that the school discriminated against her for speaking up on behalf of female athletes.

Lindy Vivas was fired in 2004 after coaching her team to its best season in history.

University officials said Vivas was let go because she never met performance goals and ran a program that often played in empty arenas.

Vivas sued, saying her contract wasn't renewed because she advocated to get her women players equal treatment and access to facilities on campus.

Over the holiday weekend I took a drive to Burbank, CA and some signs caught my attetion. I started to notice the signs where each freeway has a dedication for a fallen police officer, or chp officers. I was wondering about their families now, how do they feel when they drive and see the dedication signs? What do they tell their kids now? How do their kids cope with something like this? My respects for all the officers families! I do have couple of close friends that are married to officers and not sure how I would help them if they were to go thru something like this.

I am considering moving to Norman, Oklahoma, now I never been there! My aunt lives in Moor, Oklahoma but she wants for me to go and live close by her. What kind of town Norman is? what type of work I could get? I am a full charge bookkeeper and bilingual. Will my teenagers (2 boys) adapt? How different it is from California? Sadly but true! I have a feeling this will be the last Father's day my dear grandma celebrates with her 8 sons! I know its suppose to be about making this day special for my dad, however since his mom is not in great shape, how do I make this one very very special for her and for my dad? My dad lost his dad last October and I want him to feel happy! We are going to have a bbq and probably karaokee! and most likely we are going to sing Grandpa's special song but then this will bring tears to everybodys' eyes. What would you do if you were in this situation? How would you make every day a special occassion for both of them with out them knowing that you are thinking every holiday is the last their last holiday?

My friend told me that I have the divorce syndrome! that was news to me! in fact I didn't even know there was such a thing!!! She said that if I feel depress mostly all the time, if I have the wrong opinion about relationships!, if I want a new beggining in life, if a shine off somebody that might have good intentions. Have you ever felt this way? how did you get over this syndrome?

You know this is not fair at all and it just makes me upset to see how money manipulate the laws!!. I wonder what would happend if all those people that had to serve time for DUI, ask the NEW! Hilton priviledge? I think she needs to be equal as every idiot that decides to ignore the law! It wouldn't be fair at all that she gets out! who agrees with me? and how come MADD is not protesting?

I am helping my cousin organize a multiple birthday party for my sister who is going to be 40, my aunt - she is going to be 50 and my dad he is going to be 60. We don't know what theme to use or how to decorate! This party will be after Christmas since their birthday is at the begining of January. ANY IDEAS? Thank you!

I am bored at work!!! so thought to ask this question!

I know that there are some good homes for foster kids but at times these kids go to some horrible houses, that don't give a crap about the child only about the money! they would get every month. It has been times that foster parents of the year! are the ones treating the kids as slaves, sexually molesting them or not feeding them. How can this be change? How can it be done for the system to look deeper into these problems? It breaks my heart to heard the stories of some kids that survived the foster care. We have to remember that these kids had gone tru alot already and to put them in a home that might be worse! than their previous. What is your opinion? Do you agree with the system? or what would you change?

I want to learn how to dance disco! but disco like John Travolta in the Saturday Night Fever! any ideas?

Even if he is leaving daddy's company, I think its a good thing for him to adventure out of the nest. The questions is would you follow him? or would you change your favorite driver? Myself, I would follow him everywhere he goes!
