I'm at a community college right now, and I'm hoping to transfer to a university after I graduate in the summer. I've chosen my universities, applied to them, and had my current college forward my transcript, complete with my current classes as well as my plans for classes during the summer session. However, since submitting my application and transcripts to my schools of choice, my schedule has undergone some changes. I've dropped one of the classes I was taking for the current semester, and have enrolled in another class for the summer session. As it is, the transcripts the universities have received are no longer true, and I don't want to risk not getting in for "lying" on my transcripts because they're outdated. I also don't want to be a nuisance if I don't need to worry about it. Should I have my school forward my updated transcript to the universities, so they have a true testament to my collegiate career thus far?

My Sim is a ghost hunter (I have the Ambitions expansion), and she had gone to a house with a poltergeist haunting. She exercised three of the four of them, but when she was on the last one, she stopped midway through. The object still had the colored fog, but I could only use the object as if it were normal (it was a chair, and I could only sit in it). The next night, the icon still popped up on the house that said she had work to do there. I went, and the colored fog was still there, but I still couldn't click it. Is there a way to fix that, or do I just ignore it?

I received a letter from a publishing company today who seem interested in the novel I'm trying to market. In their letter, they ask for "a few chapters to read and consider". How many chapters should I actually give them? I don't want to give too little and lose their interest, but I also don't want to give too many and seem demanding. Any help is appreciated.

In a story I'm working on right now, my main character's birthday is a week before Christmas, and I had two ideas for what her boyfriend could get her. The first would be about $60, but it's something she's wanted for a while. The second one is about $250, but it holds a romantically sentimental value. What's your opinion on when to give what?

It's gross, I know, but yesterday, my mom and I were out, and I was wearing flip-flops, and she accidentally stepped on my foot in a way that tore the nail on my little toe almost completely off. The root of the nail is still there, but the rest of it is gone. How fast will it grow back in, and is there anything I could do to speed it along? It hurts, and plus, it's summer, and I'd like to wear flip-flops without worrying about my unsightly toenail.

There have been some recent problems with some of my friends. While there are people who have "stayed neutral", it still seems like they're more loyal to the other side of the argument. I do want to stay Facebook friends with these people, but I have some serious paranoia that they're showing my profile to everyone else. Is there a way I can block them from seeing what I post, yet I still come up in their friends list?

I just got a new computer, and Microsoft Office 2007 was already installed on it. Though, every time I open it, it's asking me for my product key. What do I do?

The beginning of next month, I'll be starting my senior year, and in order to graduate, we have to do a Senior Project - come up with a thesis, research it, write a paper on it, and produce something relating to it. I've been in love with writing since I was in fifth grade, and have always aspired to do it for a living as an adult. Since you've got to start somewhere with it, I figured, what better way to motivate myself to get published than to do it when I need to do it for the sake of my grade? I wasn't aware until reading the handbook for it just now that we needed to PROVE something, though - I thought we just had to pick something that interested us and do a project on it. The thing is, I'm stumped as to what to prove. I thought about proving that it's possible for a teenager to get published, but I realized that I was counting on something that hadn't happened yet, and what would come of it if I don't wind up getting published in the long run? Then I thought about proving that getting published is difficult, but in an interview, my favorite author said that some people get it really easily.

So, the point in case is, what can I prove? It needs to be something that I can prove whether or not I get published as a result (if I don't, I can just document my attempts and make something like a scrapbook out of them). It has to be that, because if I don't prove my thesis, I can't graduate.

I've been out of math class forever, and I can't find my notes on these, and I'm drawing an absolute blank. I know these seem fairly obvious if you're good at this, but I seriously am not.

I need to simplify these into the log of a simple log expression.

Any help is appreciated. Once you tell me how to do that, I'll be able to figure the rest of it out on my own, I just don't have the notes for these.

I write a lot, and I'm writing a story. The main character plays guitar in a band, and her breaking her arm very seriously and being unable to play is a transitional point to the plot because it brings in and accentuates the character I want to do more with by integrating him into the group.

The only problem is, I don't play guitar. I would have no idea what to do if you handed me one and told me to play. The closest I come is with Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I know that you use your dominant hand to strum and passive hand to do the frets. That's about it.

Obviously, breaking either arm would hinder you somewhat, but I need to know which is worse, because I need her to lose her ability long-term, for the sake of my plot.

I have an online friend who lives in Athens, and her computer breaks a lot, so we'd like to send each other physical letters. She sent me the way to address an envelope to her with the words in Greek but spelled with our alphabet. But would I have to write the envelope in the Greek alphabet? It would confuse my post office, but maybe not hers. She can send me the info written in Greek. I'm not sure which one I would have to do in order to get my letter to her.

So on Saturday, my church is having a dinner. My priest is from Germany, and his family over there is coming here to see him, and he's bringing them to church for dinner that night, so they can see the people he's with all the time. My dad is a big member of the church, and he's good friends with the priest. I'm one of the waitresses for the night, and since my dad knows the priest, so do I. I'm learning German, and I'd say I'm pretty good, but I'm better at understanding it than I am at speaking it. When my dad found out the priest was German, he told him that I speak FLUENT German. I've only been learning for two years. But I've been teaching myself, and never bothered to learn restaurant chat, since I'm from America and I've never been to Germany or anyplace that speaks German. Since my priest thinks I'm fluent, he told me that he and his family plan to test me when they order by ordering all in German, and expect me to reply to them correctly. I have an idea, but I just want to make sure I'm right so I don't sound like a moron in front of native speakers. I just need "Can I take your orders?" (there are eight people at his table) and "I'll put those in right now". Any help is appreciated! :]

I mean, like if you break it bad enough that the bone is sticking out. My friend broke her arm about an hour ago (she was at the park with her little brother and she fell off the playground equipment and landed wrong). My birthday is on Wednesday. Will she still be able to come over?

I can open another tab from the tab menu, but if I right-click on a link and tell it to open in another tab, it tells me it's connecting, but it won't load.

Is there something wrong with my computer, or is it a problem others are having?

I don't know what that means, though. I would assume state and city, but I don't wanna do it wrong. Help? :D

Curiosity question.

I saw them on Taste of Chaos when they came to my town, and I saw it then, too. But last night, my brother and I bought their DVD of the show in Long Beach, and he noticed it to when we watched it. But we can't tell. Anybody know?

This one's for a story. It's for a fight. If the girl's best friend came, could he bail her out for it? I don't get the whole bail thing, I never have.
