  • Changes to my skin after a hospital stay?

    I was hospitalized for 10 days and just returned home yesterday. I do not understand the damage to my skin. The bruises from the various tubes, needles etc make sense - I was constantly getting poked. I was kept well hydrated in the hospital but my legs look like they are coated in parchment and my arms and hands don't even look human - they look like mummy-skin. I look like my own grandmother. What causes this? And does anyone have suggestions for getting my skin back in shape. I appreciate any and all info.
