My friend thinks the contour is really fast I told him the crown vic would probably win. Which would put the crown vic at an advantage from a dig or a roll.

My friends dad is a deputy and he has had alot of crown vics. But he said a 2006 and up impala with 240hp would outrun a crown vic. I think hes right when i see crown vics floor it from a dead stop they look kind of doggish but the impalas look quick. Im looking to buy another used police car and ones a 2006 impala 9c1 vs 2006 cvpi almost same mileage and price. He told me the impala is faster, better handling and fuel economy is all of that true? So my dad had a 2005 p71 which he liked but had to get rid of it. Now he found a 2000 which is nicer than his 05 was. His concern is the 2000 will be really slow. His 2005 had 250hp vs 215hp or so for the 00. But his 05 had a 3.27 rar and the 00 has a 3.55 rar. I told him the 3.55 would probably make up for the power difference. Am i right do you think with 3.55 it could make it feel as quick or quicker off the line? thanks.

My uncle thinks his sts v8 is so fast. it has 320hp and weighs over 4100 pounds its just ok. He said that he beat a camaro ss the other day. I told him to race me he said ive got nothing in performance on him i said ill bet $500 i would blow him away from a dig or a roll. My aunts 99 mustang gt automatic could probably outrun him it feels faster than him.

were getting silverado when it comes out and im guessing it will outrun sts v8. It has 420hp 460lb ft of torque and they said you can definitely feel it. sts has 320hp 315 torque and uncle thinks its super car fast and it will haul but they both have similar power to weight but in power to weight for the silverado beats the sts. sts weight 4100lbs silverado 5200lbs divide hp and torque by weight. who do you think will win?

my sheriff department with over 1000 vehicles have used the impalas as main car since 06 when they come out with new body you still see some crown vics but you see 9 impalas for every 1 crown vic. The impalas have held up well and proven themselfs since they have used them for 7 years now. I always talk to sheriffs and they say the impala is faster way better fuel economy and handles better than crown vic. 240hp v6 vs 250hp v8 and crown vic is way heavier. Any way the other day i was at a red light and they were going lights and sirens escorting a ambulance and the crown vic came up to the light and stopped to let ambulance go and it waited a minute a stepped on it and it sounded mean they holler good with the v8 but man it was so sluggish everytime i see one take off they look like there struggling and it feels like im watching a 70's cop car. Any way an impala came up and stopped and it took off like a rocket it was so quick off the line. Ive seen several take off fast. I was wondering if the crown vic could even catch the ambulance lol. any way are they really faster i know 2012 have 305hp but they only have one of them the rest are 3.9.

I have an 05 p71 and im looking to let the dealer install 3.73 rar. my 3.27 is ok it will spin tires a little from dead stop and really strong once your going but if i floor it from like 5-10mph it has to wind up its geared so long. will 3.73 help and how much will it cost?

I traded my 06 vic on a charger hemi. My uncle thinks his cadillac will blow it away. I told him to race he cowars down but when im not around hes running his mouth id race him in a heart beat form a dig or a roll. We both weigh about the same i think he's heavier by 100-150 pounds. He's got 320hp@6400rpm and 315lbft@4400rpm. I have 340hp@5000rpm and 390lbft@4000rpm. both have five speed autos. Im making more power and get it quicker.

We are looking at a 99 or 2000 town car. my uncle know's dual doesn't add alot of horse power but he said it will sound a little better and a little better kick so he's not interested at all if it doesn't have dual. (factory). So is the dual worth it i mean its about the same price but it didnt matter to me. single 205hp 280 torque.

dual 220hp 290 torque. i know thats not muscle car numbers though torque is fairly respectable.

My dad is looking for daily driver and i know that the panthers other than marauder comes with single over head cam. but when we were looking at the car we noticed that the engine was double over head cam and even said it. Does that mean someone swapped engine and if they did will that help performance.

Im getting a infinite g35 coupe with 5 speed automatic. My uncle always bragging about his cadillac but honestly it doesn't even ride like a caddy its got hard seats tight suspension and steering and its fast but thats the quietest v8 ive ever heard. He test drove several they were all quiet but an old 2001 deville drove like a big couch with nice v8 sound. Anyway he thinks he can outrun anything and he said he would blow my g35 coupe away. I said he wont and ive even offered to race but he acts scared when i ask him. When im not around he constantly tell's everyone he would dust me. Who would win?

Its got the ecoboost 365hp 350 ft-lb torque. He said it will outrun my aunts 99 mustang gt auto which pulls a 6 second 0 60 and mid to high 14's through the quarter. i didnt believe him but after a ride along i agree. What would win in a race the mustang is alot lighter with 260hp 302ft pounds of torque with a dated 4 speed auto. The silverado 6.2 v8 is a power house with 403hp and 417ft pounds of torque with 6 speed auto. I think the silverado would win even off the line and from a roll it would probably beat the mustang pretty bad. What do you think?

I do mostly city driving. I want to know which one gets up to speed quicker and accelerates the best. both stock 250hp. Im not expecting camaro ss performance im driving an 03 altima 2.5 right now and it seems quick for me lol. I rode with a local city cop the other day and that crown vic would haul ***, everyone says the city uses 3.55 rear axle.

My friend is wanting to get a diablo tune on his police impala. How much hp &tq will it gain him? Do they still make chips that you can just plug in? And is it easy to do?

Right now i have a 09 silverado 5.3 crew cab xfe. It got the 6l80 that year and its an improvement over 4 speed. The problem is power if i punch it from first gear it throws you back and really moves once i hit about 60 it feels strong but like most of the powers gone. I guess it has good low end torque but thinks to only 315hp and its weight it doesnt have much at highway speed. Flooring it from a dead stop it bogs thinks to weight but winds up strong till 60. The new truck is supposed to be 500lbs lighter, and 355hp vs my 315hp and 383lb-ft torque vs my 335lb-ft torque. Will that have a noticeable difference in acceleration? And those new numbers they said was using regular fuel, so maybe a few more with premium?

So uncle just got this cadillac and while its fast he thinks he'll beat my aunts 99 mustang gt auto. They seem to be fast in different ways cadillac is more quite under full throttle but pulls like a freight train even after 80mph. I was losing hope on mustang but today she dropped the hammar on it from about 20mph and man that 4.6 roared to life we pulled hard to 60 then she hit it again and that v8 roared back again like it had alot of steam left and it also pulled hard from 20mph and when she kicked it from 60. both are bone stock with the exception of bigger air intake on mustang. would it be a close race?
