  • Physics homework help: Momentum?

Your friend Dan, who is in a ski resort, competes with his brother on who can glide higher with

the snowboard. Dan, who’s mass is 65 kg, puts his 15 kg snowboard on a level section of the

track, 5 meters from a slope (inclined plane). Then, he takes a running start and jumps onto the

stationary snowboard with a velocity of 5.78 m/s (which makes an angle of 30 degrees with respect to the horizontal direction.) Assuming that there is no friction or air resistance, what is the

maximum height h that Dan and his snowboard can reach?

  • College level Physics homework question help?

The motion of a particle moving in a circle in the x-y plane is described by the equations: r(t)=7.72, Θ(t)=9.59t, where Θ is the polar angle measured counter-clockwise from the + x-axis in radians, and r is the distance from the origin in m.

By how much does the speed of the particle change from t=10 s to t=53 s?

  • Force Laws: True or False?

    1. If a net force acts on an object, the object's velocity will change.

    2. In order not to slow down, an object moving at a constant velocity needs a small net force applied.

    3. If two objects have the same acceleration, they are under the influence of equal forces.

    4. If an object's speed does not change, no net force is acting on the object.

    5. During the collision of a car with a large truck, the car exerts a lesser force on the truck than the truck exerts on the car

True or false? I am confident with my answers for 1 and 5. But as for the others, I'm not very sure. I am given 10 tries and I have already used 7. Could somebody please help? Thank you.

  • Does Greyhound inspect carry-on baggage?

I'm bringing a bottle of Pinnacle with me in a backpack. I'm taking it as a carry-on. I've never taken a Greyhound bus before so I was wondering how inspection is. Will they X-ray check my bag and/or inspect it? I'm 23 but I know alcohol isn't permitted so that's why I'm asking. I'm leaving from Pittsburgh, which is a major city. Can anyone tell me please? Thank you.
