Girls: Is it wrong to start relationship before you'll be apart?
So I'm in college and there is a girl I met that I like and I think she might like me back but I haven't made any move yet. So we've known each other for the whole year but we've started talking more lately and I finally am getting the confidence to ask her on a small date probably coffee or something. The problem is school actually ends in two weeks for the summer and we will be about 3 hours apart...I'm kinda new to a situation like this would it be rude to kind of let her know I'm interested and then be away long distance...I was thinking it might also be a nice idea because then I could let her know I'm interested and get her number and maybe call her often and kind of set up for next year...She also doesn't seem like the type to date a lot of different guys so I don't think she would be dating another guy over the summer but who knows....if we really hit off I could also possibly visit her just not too often since its 3 hours...what do you think? I also just really want to at least show I'm interested in some way because I've been excited to do this and she might even be waiting for me and I don't want to wait all summer without making any moves

1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoAsking girl to coffee in email (see details)?
So I'm in college and I know that asking a girl in an email is pretty lame...I wouldn't do it normally however, there's a girl I know and we've talked numerous times and walk together a lot so its not like we don't know each other. I was planning on asking her to coffee in person the other day when I was thinking I would see her for a group project but she couldn't make it...now I kind of think this weekend is my only chance and I won't see her again because schools almost out for summer and I want to do something before summer so that we have the possibility of keeping in touch over the summer. So do you think if I say something in the email like I was planning to ask you yesterday but didn't see you so wanted to ask you for this weekend she would understand that this is my only option...I was just thinking coffee too so its not like a big thing like dinner and a movie

1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoFirst date in college?
So there is a girl that I know at college who's in one of my classes and in a club I'm in. We talk regularly and she's really nice so I'm sure she will say yes to me asking her to do something. I just need to know the best way to do a first date. Even though we talk a lot I don't really know enough about her interests to do something like dancing or a concert so I'm thinking either lunch or dinner or maybe just coffee because that would be really casual but what do you think?) Also say I ask her for coffee. There are a lot of places that are about a 5-10 minute walk from campus so its kinda on the borderline of I could offer to drive her, I could walk with her there, or I could just meet her there. Which one do you think is best (and if you say just ask her and she says doesn't matter, then what do I say)?

2 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoHow do you go from being friends with a girl to dating her?
So there's a girl I like in college and we are friends and talk to each other and she has even started the conversation with me before and seems interested in me. What's the best next step as far as asking her out. I've went on dinner dates before with other girls and they always go fine and my dates seem happy for the most part but they seem to be somewhat impersonal and I normally feel by the end of it that I didn't really make progress and asking her to do something again would be like asking her out again. I was thinking about trying to find out more about her interests and take her something that she is interested...like dancing if she's a dancer or to piano concert if she likes music...is something like this better or would it seem awkward and I should stick with the dinner date...any first date ideas?
