  • Would you rather be given $100 Starbucks gift card or $80 cash?

Pretty self explanatory. I'm in this situation and don't go to Starbucks much mostly because it's too much $.

  • Is it selfish to ask people not to buy you presents?

I'm 19 years old and have a birthday in November plus christmas is in December so I've got alot of people asking me what I want. At this point in my life, I don't feel like there's anything materialistic that I want enough to justify someone else spending their money on so I thought I would ask people to not buy me gifts this year (my extended family). My mom was kinda apprehensive about it but eventually she realized that it was what I really wanted so she obliged. But I overheard her saying that it was selfish of me. Why would this be?

  • What should Julia Cordray, founder of Peeple, do?

Do you think there's anything that Julia Cordray, founder of the infamous "Peeple" app (Yelp for humans) can do to turn her image/app around? Since it has yet to be released and tweaking is permitable, is there any way to make this into a "positive" app while still making it successful? Or is her reputation so damaged that nothing could be done? It seems like a good opportunity with so much attention and media coverage going her way.

  • Am I "Fiscally conservative and socially liberal" What does this mean?

I'm 19 and just getting into politics. I'm from Canada so I'm now legal to vote. Please ignore my ignorance as I'm still learning. I would consider my views (socially) to be very liberal: pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, pro-control. However, from an economic stand point, agree with the Conservative platform more? Or atleast I think so. I would like less government and more privatization and don't believe in hand outs of any kind (regardless of your income). So what does this mean? And who should I vote for? I am from Canada but am interested in American Politics as well. I'm just tryna learn.
