  • Should I let my ex-wife have contact with our daughter?

Due to a laundry list of reasons I had my ex-wifes parental rights terminated. My ex currently lives in England with her boyfriend, and doesn't make much of an effort to contact our daughter. However I'm sure not far down the road she will want to talk to or see our daughter. Now, I will never allow her to spend time alone with her, all visits would be supervised. But I'm not sure if I should let her see, or talk to her if she is going to only call when the mood strikes her right once or twice a year. But I also don't want to deny my daughter the right to know her mother, even if it's just a little, and have her resent me for it later on. And what about my wife's parents (my daughters grandparents). Should they be able to keep in touch with her a few times a year even if my ex isn't? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

  • Filing for abandonment!?

Three months ago my wife told me that she was leaving me for a man that she had been having an online affair with. We have a two year old daughter, who lives with my mother, she has temporary guardianship of her. Now my wife is living with this other guy in England, and keeps threatening to come back and get custody of our daughter, and take her to England where I will never see her again. She hasn't called our daughter in three months, and I want to file for abandonment to keep her from ever getting custody of her. Since I am not her legal guardian who needs to file for abandonment? Or can anyone? We live in Utah Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
