  • What are some of the best gaming laptops under $1200?

Screen size needs to be at least 14" also I'd prefer a 500GB hard drive but I can deal with something smaller. Right now ASUS and Alienware seem to be the top contenders after shortly looking at the current laptops available. Also $1200 is the absolute max I'm willing to go. I'd really prefer something under $1000.

Sorry, this question probably gets asked a lot but I can't find anything that is current.

  • What's the best way to record guitar onto a computer, for a low price?

I've been playing guitar for a few years and I'd really like to start recording some stuff. I have no idea what I need though. I'm looking for something under $100. I found this:

    http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Behri...

But, I'm not sure if I need anything else aside from that to record (like cables or anything else). Any help or suggestions on cheap guitar recording equipment?

  • Help me identify a car part?

I recently got a Volvo S40 T5, and I found out my driveway is too steep the hard way. Coming into the driveway the front lip hit and broke off. That isn't what I'm concerned about, I fixed it easily with no damage. But, I think it went under the car and broke off a rod.

I have no idea what the rod is. It is on the right (passenger) side of the car and is connected to the front axle. It then is supposed to attach to a small electrical box above the front axle. It attaches by a small plastic piece which broke in half.

The rod is silver and about 6 inches long. It is only located on that side of the car and there is not an electrical box or rod on the other side of the car.

I could provide a picture if that's necessary.

I'm just hoping to find out what it is so I can find a replacement part without having to go to a mechanic.

Also, I have driven the car for about a week without the rod attached and there is no noticeable difference in the way it drives.

  • My fingers hurt, help?

Three weeks ago I started working at a car wash. I'm a vacuumer there so I spend 8 hours a day, 5 days a week holding a vacuum hose.

After the first week my middle finger started feeling stiff and it started to hurt, and it has gotten progressively worse. Now my middle finger is really stiff and hurts when I wake up, and it gets progressively better throughout the day but never goes away. My index finger hurts a bit also, but it isn't near as bad.

It mainly hurts when I curl my finger up completely. It also feels like I really need to crack my knuckles in my middle finger, but I can't. Sorry, I'm not really good at describing the type of pain it is.

Any suggestions on any finger exercises or anything else that could help relieve or prevent the pain? Will this go away eventually?

I've tried holding the vacuum numerous ways, but that didn't help. Also, I could use my left hand to hold the vacuum, but then those fingers would just hurt instead of my right hand.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Help me find a good used car?

Okay, so I have been looking for a used car for a few months now and I can't find one that I am completely satisfied with that fits my price range.

    Price range: $10-20,000

    Here are my criteria:

-Has to have at least 200 hp or 200 lb ft of torque

-I would love it to be turbocharged, that is a huge plus. It's almost a must.

-Looks, I want the inside and outside to be attractive

    -Manual transmission

-RWD or AWD, I do not want a front wheel drive car

-Quality, I want a good sound system and I don't want the inside to be made of cheap plastic.

    -No more than 100k miles

    -No American cars

There are probably some other but I can't think of them.

Some cars that I am currently looking at:

    -2006 Subaru Impreza WRX

    -2006-07 Audi A4 2.0T

    -2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

    -2006 Saab 9-3 Aero

    Thanks for your help.

  • I'm looking to buy a used Hyundai Gensis Coupe, how much could I haggle off the asking price?

I'm looking to buy a used Hyundai Gensis Coupe. It has 8,500 miles on it. MSRP for the car is around 22-24,000 (I'm not sure what trim the car is).

So I have never bought a car before so I am not sure how much you can usually haggle off of the advertised price. The car has almost 8.5k miles and it has the sticker price of a new Gensis Coupe. I assume that has to reduce its value by at least a few thousand dollars.

Do you think I could get the car for around $18-19,000 or is that too low? Also, Kelly Blue Book doesn't have the values for this car yet since it is a 2010 model.

  • How reliable are Porsche Boxster engines?

I'm looking at buying a 2001 Porsche Boxster S. But, I have read about numerous engine problems and I can't really find any good information on this issue. What is the failure rate for the 2001 model and what is the replacement cost? Also, the car I am looking at has 66,000 miles on it. If the engine had a defect would it have failed already? Thanks.

  • Is it stupid to buy a refurbished Xbox 360?

My Xbox broke and it would cost $150 plus 2 months of waiting for Microsoft to fix it. On Amazon there is a refurbished Xbox 360 for less than $100, but it is "Used, Refurbished". The seller has over 8,000 ratings and 98% are positive, so I'm certain they won't rip me off. But, how reliable are refurbished Xbox 360s? Knowing how unreliable 360s are, should I just pay $200+ for a new one, which could also break?

So basically, how reliable are refurbished Xbox 360's and would it be stupid to buy one?

    Thanks.

  • Xbox 360 freezing and errors, help needed?

So about a week ago my xbox starting freezing up, (over the past 5 days or so it froze 3 or 4 times). Then yesterday it started freezing about ever 5 minutes after I turned on the console.

Today, I have gotten both an e71 and an e79 error once (with one red light, not rrod). Otherwise, my xbox would freeze about 10 seconds after start up. I looked online and it said to clear your HD cache, so I did. It now runs for more than 10 seconds, but after about 15 minutes it freezes. One time it said that it could not read the disc, even though the disc is not scratched. My xbox has froze with: (Halo ODST, Halo Reach Beta, Devil May Cry 4, and BFBC: 2) which are the only games I have played in the past week so its not the game.

I can find hundreds of solutions to freezing related to the rrod, but that is not my problem. Also, it won't let me register my xbox, so I can't check my warranty status and xbox support is worthless.

Can I fix this anyway, or should I just buy a used xbox off of amazon for $100.

    Thanks.
