i told my parents that i have made the decision to join the army this year. after some arguement about university (yes, they demand i attend university) my dad told me he would be "dissapointed" if i followed through with my dream to become a combat engineer. hearing this really hurts and now i'm forced to decide between their dreams for me and my own dreams. what should i do?

my brother and i bought a video game, each paying 50% of the total cost. i played the game more often than he did, but he had the opportunity to play whenever he chose. now, he has decided that he will sell the game and take all of the profits. i argued that i am entitled to 50% of the profits because the game is 50% mine.and he replied by saying "i didnt even play the game, you played it so i get all of the money." his other argument was that he wanted to buy a different game but since he settled on the game i wanted most, he is entitled to 100% of profits from reselling it.

do i get half of the profits because i paid for half of the game?

or does he get all of the profits because he didnt get as much enjoyment out of the game as me?

why?

i am NOT interested in a self-help book or some sort of encouraging or cheerful novel, but rather a real sick, dark read without a happy ending.i have read The Catcher In The Rye already (several times). i'd appreciate any suggestions

if i look out my window, i can never be sure if i'm seeing the other side of the street, or just a painting on the glass. i can never prove to myself that there is a wall seperating two rooms, or just a layer ot paint with nothing underneath. when i walk on a floor, i sometimes wonder if it's thinner than paper, with nothing but abyss below. i can't decide if everything is an illusion, and i often cut myself just to prove to myself that i'm not just a hollow shell. why do i have these thoughts and take these actions? i swear i'm not crazy. but i guess i could never be sure.

I was lifting a ton of hardwood flooring boxes into my grandma's house because she is having her floor redone, the boxes weighed a lot and ended up making small parralell cuts in my forearm when lifting them. i didnt quite notice this happening untill recently. In my grade about 10% of the population has become "emo" and started cutting themselves, and these little wounds look self inflicted, i cant just tell the truth because it would sound like a stupid excuse, so what do i do about these cuts before i go to school tomorrow?
