I am prepping my walls to support a wall-mounted TV over my fireplace, but I have not purchased a TV or surround sound yet (2 planned purchases).

I want to run the necessary wires now before I close-up my wall. Would I be safe with only running (3) HDMI ports and (1) cable wire (for a digital TV receiver)?

Should I buy my electronics before closing-up the wall to be sure I'm covered? It's a pretty massive project and I don't want to re-open my walls..

The foundation at the corner of our home is eroding due to a ditch which was run by the city a couple of years ago. We've complained multiple times, and their last effort was to put some rocks and burlap by the corner of the house, but the foundation is still eroding.

They last told us that they'd like to fix the problem, but they're waiting on new grant money to fund it. I'd like to put them on legal notice so that if our foundation is damaged we'll have some standing in court.

I recently added NASCAR support to a free website I designed for creating fantasy cheat sheets online. Because I'm not a huge NASCAR fan I took my best shot at what users would find most valuable when creating their driver rankings:

1. Driver name, years experience, car number, & car make

2. Supplemental Rankings (including ADP)

3. 2010 stats

4. A configurable note for each driver

5. Twitter driver news search

6. Google driver news search

Can anyone think of other factors that the consider when creating their driver rankings? If anyone is interested in seeing the application the website link is in my Yahoo! Answers profile. I'd love to get some input to improve the site, thanks!

My house has been on the market for a few months and the agent I have a contract with has not shown the house at all. Last week my wife was approached by someone (through her work) who was interested in looking at the house. He dropped by to look at our house and is prepared to make an offer.

If we were to come to an agreement with this person, would I owe our real estate agent any money considering this person did not go through them?

It seems only the big online fantasy sports sites have access to 'live scoring' capabilities. Is there a monopoly on this information so that small-time web developers cannot provide this service through their websites?
