Back in the day of the US.... f 7-9 locomotives, There was a pedal installed on the cab floor called a dead mans switch.

Do todays newer locomotives still have them?

A dead man's switch in a switch that is automatically operated in case the human operator becomes incapacitated, either through death, loss of consciousness, or some other type of incapacitation.

What does the little yellow G sign mean on the US signals system???
