After 7 years of marriage, my wife's brother called a family meeting and accused me of something nasty. A week later he came around with a bunch of his friends and told my wife that the police told him that if she and my daughter continued to stay with me, the CPS would take my daughter. After 2 weeks of calling around and trying to find out what is going on, the CPS told me that I don't even appear on their system.

However, during this time, my brother in law has been going around to my parents-in-law house and talking to my wife and convinced her that I did what he accused me of doing and she has told me that she is never coming back.

I have discovered that this whole thing is a lie, even if I show the evidence to my wife and convince her to come back, should I take back a woman who believed a lie over what she should know of a man with whom she has lived with for the past seven years? If she has shown how little faith and trust she has in me after all this time, is it worth trying to get her back?
