2 AnswersMathematics8 years agoPOLL: Which answer would you pick?
The answer that has the most thumps up or the answer that seems best and why?
I would pick the answer that seems best and I wonder why someone would pick the answer with the most thumps up. Especially after finding out that some people give thumps up to their own answer with multiple accounts...
6 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhat is the first thing you think of when you hear... Philosophy/Philosophizing?
I am asking this because most of my friends and acquaintances say: mumbo jumbo. So I am now wondering what others think of it. Because it seems that philosophy has an obscure reputations among the ones I know and love.
10 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoCould teaching each child about philosophy improve our society?
I know that my knowledge of philosophy helped me to easily pass all my tests and understand that everything is connected to everything. But it is a bit of a mystery to me why philosophy is not included in the curriculum (at least not on the schools I went to...). To me it seems a useful tool for tying all subjects together and stimulating the imagination and reasoning of kids. Any thoughts?

I read here on Answers that the Big Bang theory is now outdated... So hence my q
15 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoWhat will happen to Michael Jackson's children?
This was the first q that popped up when it sunk in that he really is gone.
I have to say I was still hoping for that spectacular re-inventive comeback... And like any good fan I was hoping that some doctor could fix his nose properly...
I know, I know, you're thinking "are you serious?!", but he was my major childhood idol, so bear with me...
5 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoDon't u think that no matter how rude a q might seem the answering should be serious or at least polite?
I was just in the religious area and I find it difficult to read that some people get offended by q's. I don't like reading rude answers and when I do answer I try to be polite about it
Though I'll probably get a few rude answers myself now...
7 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoShouldn't it be all about the face?
Not all women with a beautiful face are considered beautiful, because of being fat or being too short or tall or pimply. Shouldn't we separate the different aspects: like okay her face is beautiful, weight is mwah, not so good (for example obesity is life threatening), and lenght speaks for itself.
The question is a bit weird, but it's seems unfair to me that people dismiss others as ugly, when in fact the women has a more beautiful face than a successful actress or model (like Gisele Bundchen has a regular face, not a beautiful face...)

5 AnswersRunning1 decade agoDoes babytalk register with birds?
My husband has 2 cockatiels, I like talking babytalk to them but I do not know if it makes them happy or soothes them. I enjoy picking one up and petting it, but am a bit scared of the other one:)
2 AnswersBirds1 decade agoWhy do people fuss about abortion, instead of trying to find homes for all children that are not taken care of
I ask this because there are so many children without anyone to take care of them, to pay for their school and food and to teach them to become responsible adults. But I never hear pro-life people talking about them, no go on, bring more babies in the world! Never mind all the kids without parents.
