  • Can the school avoid talking to a joint custody parent?

My husband is having a hard time getting the principal and teacher at my stepson's school to call him back. They are having some behavioral issues with him at school but will only leave voice-mails for him about his son. He has called and left multiple voicemails for both of these ladies. He has to hear about most of it through his ex-wife, and she isn't always a reliable source. How long is too long to wait for the school to respond? I've suggested he call the secretary at the school to make a conference with both the teacher and the principal without his ex there to find out what is really going on.

I'm a school teacher in a different district and I wouldn't wait more than a day to contact a parent that has contacted me. I would have to wait until I didn't have students in my classroom, but most teachers have a planning period that I am aware of. I know my principals response time is faster than that.

  • Need to see pictures of polka dot bedrooms?

We are getting ready to move into a new house. My 4 year old daughter wants pink and purple polka dots painted in her room. Does anyone have any good pictures they would want to share. I did a web search but didn't find anything that really jumped out and said this is it!! I'm thinking light colored walls with the brighter colors of pink and purple.

  • Foreclosure Question?

How far behind do you have to be on your mortgage before a bank (such as Wells Fargo) will foreclose on your house? It's not me personally, but someone in my family. And it's breaking my heart but I don't want to ask them how far behind they really are.

  • Why does the state of Missouri not investigate mothers more?

My husband is a great father. I have a wonderful stepson that I love very much. However, his ex is a piece of work. In the 6 years we have been together she has moved my stepson around to 11 different homes. At least 6 of them were with men that she hadn't been with for very long. She has never had a job for more then a couple of months, and gets every state benefit she can for both of her children. Since my 7 year old stepson started school this year, he has been at 3 different schools. We've talked to lawyers that have told us that just because she isn't "stable" that doesn't make her "unfit". And Missouri won't take children away from their mother unless she is doing something illegal, or something happens to one of her children.

It's sicking, I'm not perfect. . . However, we've lived in the same home for 5 years. We have 2 other children and we love my stepson just as much. We would do anything for him, and he's said he wishes he could be here with us. I guess my question is... Do we have any other options?

  • Planning a surprise 50yh party?

My mom is turning 50 in April. My funding is a little short, but I want to make a big deal of it. I'm thinking about putting my dad up to taking her out for an early dinner and just having it at her house. Is that tacky? What should I include to provide for the guests? Who should I invite? Unfortunately her house isn't huge and her family lives 1200 + miles away.

  • Facts about the Hcg Diet?

I'm almost six feet tall, and in the last 2 years I've lost nearly 30 lbs. But I've plateaued for the last year, even with diet and exercise. I'd like to lose like 15 more lbs, so I ordered the Hcg drops. Friends of mine have found it great, but I have my hesitations I guess. Anyone know more about it?

  • How healthy is an open relationship?

I thought it was just pillow talk, but my husband gave me permission to "sleep around" as long as I always came home and told him about it. I've told him I thought I would be okay for him to do the same. We haven't done anything like that, but can it really work? I don't know that I could do it, but I know that with permission he could. . .

  • How bad is a tattoo on your rib cage really?

I have 3 tattoos already. One on the small of my back, one in the center between my shoulders blades, and one on the front side of my left hip. I want more, but with my profession I want them all out of sight. My sisters and I are all going to get the same tattoo and I've thought about putting it on my right rib cage area. But I've heard that's the worst place. What's your opinion?
