  • My Economic Solution?

    Here's my economic solution:

    1. Decrease dependence on foreign materials; America needs to start manufacturing its own goods instead of depending on China and Japan. I think this one is pretty obvious. Starting manufacturing jobs would involve opening factories, which in turn would ease part of the un-employment numbers.

    2. Tax the hell out of the wealthy, tax cut the poor. Make CEOs pay high taxes on the bonuses they get, maybe upwards of 50%.

    3. Tax credits, but don't make the tax credits on something one will buy once every five years. Make a tax credit for a certain amount spent on food or clothes. Such as for family spending over $20,000 on food, tax credit $1,000.

    4. Ease taxes now. Consumers need the money in their pockets. That's the only way to get out of the "recession" we're in. Make next year the lowest taxable year. Then raise taxes a certain percent to ease debt. Such as raising taxes 1.5% year until normal tax line is reached.

Those are my economic solutions. I really don't know if any of the plans I mentioned would work at all. What do you guys think? Anything I should add, modify, or delete?

  • Noel Johnson signs with Clemson?

Noel Johnson, 4-star prospect and #13 ranked SG who de-committed from SC, signed with Clemson today.

Johnson is a combo 2/3. He can play the 2 and the 3 position. Will be a solid addition for Oliver Purnell after Purnell lost Ogelsby to Europe and KC Rivers to graduation.

Johnson was considering LSU, UNLV, Charlotte, Georgia Tech, and Georgia.

  • Suggestion for Yahoo Answers?

We need to split the basketball section to two different sections. We need a NBA section, obviously, but we also need a separate College Basketball section. Too hard to find any questions related to College Basketball when they are jumbled up with thirty-six thousand LA Lakers, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant threads.

  • The Memphis Tigers aren't going anywhere.?

With Coach Josh Pastner at the helm, assistant Coach Willis Wilson on the X's and O's and a father figure, assistant Coach Glynn Cyprien recruiting the best of the best, and assistant Coach Jack Murphy breaking down teams like he did in the NBA, the Tigers have arguably the best staff in the country.

The Tigers already have a commitment from Will Barton, the #1 SG of the Class of 2010, and out of his brother, Antonio Barton, a very good PG who had offers from Syracuse and Miami. The Tigers are in on Joe Jackson and many other top players from the Class of 2010.

Plus they are recruiting for 2011, 2012, and even 2013.

So, like the sophomore 6'8 wing Wesley Witherspoon said, "We ain't going nowhere!"

Go Tigers! Bring on anyone. U of K, Kansas, Duke, UNC, UCLA, and anyone else that wants to challenge the beast that is the University of Memphis Tigers.

  • Johnathon Stewart or MJD?

Should I start Johnathon Stewart or MJD this week? I'm leaning toward MJD because he is going against a terrible run defense in Indy, and J. Stewart is going against a good front line in Minn.

    Who would you start?

  • need some internet/ethernet help?

Ok, I have two computers, a laptop and desktop. When either one of my computers are plugged up to the internet, it works great. But when I try to pull out my Ethernet cord out of one of my computers and try to put it in another, it doesn't work. For me to connect to the internet on the second computer, I have to turn off my modem. After turning off my modem, I can plug my Ethernet cord into my desktop, and the internet works, but if I pull it out of the desktop and try to put it on the laptop, the same problem arises. What should I do to fix this problem?

  • Southwest Airlines?

I'm flying by Southwest, and I'm in Boarding Group A, position 38.

I know Southwest has open seating. So when will I be able to board? Will I be one of the first to get on the plane, or will I be one of the last?

  • Josh Hamilton?

Why do people say this is a great comeback story? I mean he was the one that did the drugs and the alcohol. How can you sit here and say this is the comeback story of the year, when you have Jon Lester, a cancer survivor, throw a no-hitter. This coming from a guy that hates the Red Sox. I'm happy that Hamilton quit drugs and found God, but this was self-imposed and isn't a true comeback story to me.

  • How Early Can I Check In?

I'm flying by Southwest from Birmingham to Chicago Midway on Friday, and I was wondering how early can I check in.

I know I can check in online, but I have to check my bags in. So, how early can I go to the airport and check in. Is there anyway that I can go the day before and check in so I can avoid the lines at the ticket counter. I would rather waste my time at the security lines than at the ticket counter.

  • Can I plug up my XBOX 360 to a DVD player.?

Ok, I have a portable DVD player, Polaroid brand.

    And I have a 360.

I was wondering if I could put the two together.

On the wires of the 360, it has the usual red, white, and yellow.

and on the DVD player, I have a plug in where the yellow wire can go.

If I put the yellow wire in the DVD player, would the 360 work.

I know wouldn't have any volume, but would I get video?

  • Would this work in the NBA?

Ok, as a Memphis fan I'm tired of getting screwed over in the Lottery every year. I know this sounds a little stupid, but I think the NBA should change the from the Draft to a recruiting process like the NCAA has. I know the NCAA has the recruiting process because teams have to sometimes land 6 or 7 recruits because of early entries and seniors leaving, and with the draft, it would be impossible to do that. But I seriously think the NBA should change their process to recruiting. That doesn't mean a team can go out and get 5 new players a year, but rather, should be able to land only 2 recruits. With a recruiting process, it would eliminate a lot of problems. Plus, it would allow the player to play for the team they want. Each team could recruit as many players coming out of college as they want, but they can only sign 2 players.

Does this sound like a decent idea?

  • Comerica Park? Are these good seats, and how close are they to the field?

I'm going to be in Detroit/Dearborn MI area and I decided to buy tickets to watch the Tigers play baseball. I've never been to Comerica Park, but I have been to some Minor League and ATL Braves games. I like to watch the games from behind home plate, so I bought tickets in that area.

    Here are the ticket information:

    Section 127; Row 32; Seat 10-11

How close is Row 32 to the playing field?

And did I get good seats?
