Buddies landlord served him papers, the thing is the landlord has been told the house is officially foreclosed and he has 60 days to move out. Better yet the landlord never told the lender he had tenants. What can this guy do to at least buy some time with the new owner, (bank). Should he just ignore the eviction notice? He lives in Los Angeles County California.

I am looking for someone that can answer whether or not a landlord can evict a tenant that is living in their home while the property is in foreclosure or short sale?

My friends wife has worked for this family in the Orange County area for the past three years, she recently hurt her back at work and he all of sudden only needs her two days a week. She notified them that her back hurt went home called in the next day on the third day she went in and left home early to go to doctor. Doctor gave her a week off the boss told her he was thinking about taking her down to two days a week anyway and that she should call him back in a week to find out what his decision is.

I contacted workers comp for him and they said she has to file a claim with them with his company. He of course has paid her under the table for the past three years telling her he ahs been taking out taxes. She's really clueless but a really nice lady, he won't give her the home owners insurance companies name or anything. She should be 100% in a few weeks but meanwhile no check no nothing. Any advice or refer to a good attorney would be helpful for her family. (is there a way to get the home owners insurance company name?)

I just found out on my own that the landlord received a NOD in November their second one! I have only been living there for 2.5 months which means I have put in over 8k to stay in a place where I will be forced to move from. Any suggestions on my actions, and i do not want to buy the house. I already know I shouldnt pay anymore rent but that puts me in jeapordy with the landlord I also know I need to contact the bank but I dont know how to find out which one it is any advice is greatly appreciated.

We have an agreement that he made on the computer, but it doesnt really state the obvious. It covers his butt of course. I have a way out of it by stating teh the urine stink in the house is to much to bear and I am moving. Let me know what you think I can do.

I would have to get a lawyer then to save myself from going to jail for something i did not do? Also, I left the state prior to the warrant being issued.

I found out that I have a warrant for 2 counts of embezz. and 1 count of grand larceny. I have the case number I live out of the state and I was hoping that the statute of limitations was up since i did not committ the crime and I cannot now go turn myself in to prove i didnt do it. So does anyone know what the statute of limitations is on those warrants I have is?
