Hello! I have 2 dogs, a black lab puppy and a golden retriever. I also have two cats, rabbits, chickens, a hamster, ferrets, and fish. I am a dog trainer, and happy to answer any questions the best that I can! My favorite dog breed (other than my boys!) is the German Shepherd, and my favorite cats (again an animal I don't have!) are Siamese and Bengals!

  • Getting a Ball Python?

I am planning on getting a ball python. This will be my first snake, so I am trying to do all the research that I can. I understand that they grow about a foot per year. and usually reach from 4-6 feet. I have gotten different answers as per their full grown weight, so I was wondering that. Also, how long will they fit in a 10 gallon tank for? I plan to have a 30 or 40 gallon tank for when it is full grown, but am starting out with the 10 gallon. Also if anyone has any other helpful info I would love to hear it.

    Thanks!

  • Is my hamster eating?

How do I tell if my hamster is eating? I just adopted him on Monday. He is six months old, and didn't have food for three days before I got him. I gave him two different types of hamster food, as I was not sure what he was used to eating. He obviously likes the one more than the other, as he took out half the bowl and put it in his little burrow. I cannot tell if he is actually eating though, should I be worried?

-Also, the only bedding he ever had was cedar shavings, which is what he was on when I got him. No soft bedding to make a burrow. I put care fresh and some some hamster bedding in his cage and he made a big burrow immediately.
