Fun enthusiast car for $10-$15k for college?
2 AnswersBuying & Selling7 years agoFun, reliable, cheap $15k or so car for a budding enthusiast?
I have been looking at mazdaspeed3s. I love them and they are relatively cheap to own. It is a hatchback so insurance shouldn't be terrible. I would love a BRZ but they are too exensive. I have seen honda s2000s (my dream car) and nissan 350 and 370z's in my range too but I figured insurance would be awful for those especially since I am young. I also like civic si's but they are surprisingly rare in my area. Crz's are pretty cool but are not exactly fast. (I want to take the car on a track sometime) I even looked at toyota tacoma x-runners. So anyway, any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.
1 AnswerBuying & Selling7 years agoCars comparable to mazdaspeed3 and mini cooper s?
So it is almost time for me to get a new car. I'm working with about a 15k budget. I want something that is fun to drive and fast. Well faster than the average car. It does not need a 3 sec 0-60 time but below 6 sec would be preferred. Also, it cannot be too crazy because most of the money is coming from my parents. I'd love an s2000 but it being a convertible and just plain awesome, it won't happen. So, Mazdaspeed3 is my first choice for now but I have been looking at some mini cooper s's. Civic si are okay, I would have to spend a little more so I can get more power out of it though. If you can suggest a RWD car that is reliable in this price range, I would very much appreciate it. I love RWD but the only one I like in this price range that is reliable is the S2000 but I obviously cannot get it, so any suggestions will be appreciated!
1 AnswerBuying & Selling7 years agoIf I get a mazda mx-5 miata, what engine should I put in it?
I am very limited on cash right now and all of the internet (well the smart internet) tells me to get a miata. I agree and am currently saving up. However, I want some power! I like fun but I also like loud speed, but not too much power. It is a very light car after all. Remember, the car will be my daily driver, so he can't be too crazy. I have had ideas about putting a mazdaspeed3 engine in there. That seems like the best thing considering it's the same company and everything. I want something reliable, no 900hp nonsense. 400 at the very most, 250 at the least. Thank you for your suggestions.
9 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation7 years agoWhat is a good performance car for less than $5,000 and is relatively easy to find?
I have a 2002 Ford F-150 for my first vehicle. I want something small and fun but obviously, I do not have very much money and my job is only slightly above minimum. I am looking to sell my truck and get a car for around the same amount. My parents said they are saving up to get me a new vehicle by the end of summer if I keep my grades up. However, driving a truck makes me depressed so any suggestions? Any will be appreciated.
7 AnswersBuying & Selling7 years agohonda s2000, acura rsx type-s, or mazdaspeed3?
I know a good bit about each of these, but I still have a hard time figuring out which one is best. I like the s2000 but it has the least space and it is only a 2 seater. I do not have people riding with me a lot but id like to have the seats if i ever needed them. The acura is awesome but they are rare, and they are near impossible to find a fully stock one in good condition and low miles. The mazdaspeed3 is a great hot-hatch but I've heard there is baaad torque steer and I would just rather have a honda (or acura since they are the same). Any help on this matter will be appreciated.
