    you have a clock. its at the 1 o'clock position. the minute hand is 8mm long. the hour hand is 4 mm long. find how fast the tips of the hands are separating at one o clock (the angle between the hands is Pi/6 radians).

    so find dd/dt when theta = pi/6.
