Does State Employees Credit Union put a hold on tax refunds? When I had Bank of America, the money was in the account on the same day the IRS released funds, but someone told me SECU puts a hold on it. Anybody have secu and know the answer?

  • Can birth control pills change your vagina scent?

I've been on Azurette for about 5 months and while the smell isn't BAD, it has changed completely. It started around the same time I started the pill.

Is it possible for the pill to change something like that?

  • Can you get money out at the ATM when there is no money in your account (bank of America)?

I get paid tomorrow but I need money today. Someone told me that you can use your card to take money out and as long as you replace the money within 5 days you won't be charged a few. Is this true?

  • Can Walmart charge a check for 2 different amounts?

I used a check at Walmart this past Tuesday. The amount was $114 plus I asked for $20 cash back on the check. She messed up and only charged the $20 to the check. They said they would write a note on the check for when they went to cash it at the bank so that they could get the $114. Is that even possible? The $20 has come out of my account already. I don't see how they can charge 2 different amounts on the same check?

  • Can birth control pills help you lose weight if you have pcos?

I have pcos. I stopped taking bc pills for almost 2 years and in those 2 years I went from 130 to 180 pounds. Someone told me that the reason for the weight gain is due to the pcos and that the reason I gained the weight is bc I stopped my birth control. I had my baby and now I'm just now back on bc pills. Is it really possible that being back on bc will make me go back to normal?

  • Can a doctor refuse to see a patient for a whole month when they've been bleeding for 4 weeks?

I've been bleeding very heavily for over 4 weeks. I went to the hospital Monday and they said I have something called Dysfunctional Uterine Syndrome and that it's caused by the lack of a hormone. They told me I needed to get to a gyno ASAP and not to wait around since they found other issues that need attention. When I called my doctor to schedule an appointment the lady would not make me one for over a mon away. I tried to stress to her how serious it was that I be seen ASAP but she couldn't care less. Now I'm just stuck bleeding like this and not getting any help. Can they do this? When people call a doctor for help how can they deny you like that?

I've called other obgyns and clinics, they don't take Medicaid where I live,

I don't know what the heck to do. This is ridiculous.

  • Do you have to pay a copay at Planned Parenthood if you have Medicaid?

I have an appointment in an hour and I'm not sure if I will have a copay or not. I have NC Medicaid. They told me to call and ask them but it's Saturday and they aren't open.

  • Heavy bleeding for 3 weeks, should I go to a hospital?

I had a normal period, then 2 weeks later I started bleeding again and it has now been over 3 weeks of strait bleeding. It's extremely heavy bleeding, worse than any period I've ever had. I don't have insurance to go to a doctor. I'm thinking about going to the E.R but is it serious enough to go there? Will they even do anything about it?

  • Abnormally Huge clumps of tissue during period?

About 3 or 4 months ago, I had to take the plan b pill. I didn't get a period until a month ago and it lasted for almost 2 weeks. then about a week ago I started bleeding again. It was pretty light at first. But then 3 days ago it got really heavy and huge chunks of tissue started coming out. All day for 3 days. I don't have a doctor I can see or call yet and I'm starting to get worried. At first I assumed it was built up lining, but it's so much now that I'm not sure. Has anyone ever taken plan b and had this happen? Or just had the huge amounts of tissue come out non stop for days like that? I've had around 20 clumps a day ranging in size from very small to 3 inches long.

I do not have medical insurance or a doctor that I can call or see. I have taken the steps to get insurance but there is nothing I can do about that yet.

Also, when people typically ask questions on yahoo, they don't want people telling them to "go to the doctor". If it was an option, I wouldn't be here. All I want to know is if anyone has had this before.

  • Can gentian violet be used to treat a yeast diaper rash?

My 3 month old has a yeast diaper rash and none of the typical diaper rash ointments are helping at all, in fact its gotten worse. She had thrush in her mouth when she was a newborn and the Dr. had us get her gentian violet to treat it since nystatin had no effect on it. I was wondering if it would also work on a yeast diaper rash. I would like to hear from people who have tried this, and hear what their experience with it was.

  • Can you put nystatin on a paci?

My 3 week old has thrush and a friend told me to put the nystatin on her paci and it will help her get rid of it faster. Will this work? Is it even safe? And how do you know how much to put in her mouth? I don't want her to swallow too much.

  • Bloody show, braxton hicks and back pain. How much longer?

I'm 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant. All night last night I had horrible pressure from her pushing down with her head. I couldn't even sleep. Then this morning I went to the bathroom and there was the bloody show. I went to the doctor and he said I was 'very thinned out' but didn't give me the exact percent. While at the doctor I started having braxton hicks with horrible back pain and I've had it ever since. That was about 5 hours ago. The doctor sent me home and now I'm just waiting for contractions to start I guess? This is my first baby and I'm not really sure what to expect in terms of when labor might start or if it even means its near. I do know that my back is killing me and I really hope I'm not far from giving birth.

  • What does labor feel like IN BETWEEN contractions?

I know the contractions are going to completely suck but I've never heard anybody talk about what it feels like in between them. Do you get a break from the pain or is there a constant pain that never eases up? I'm just trying to figure out what to expect, I'm not really that worried about it, just curious. I'm due today! :)

  • When you went into labor was it all of a sudden, or did you have a feeling days before?

I'm 39 weeks +4 days pregnant, due on friday and I don't feel like I'm going into labor ANY time soon. I'm terrified of being one of those women that goes 2 weeks over, or finally just has to be induced bc the baby wouldnt come out. I don't even feel almost 40 weeks pregnant except for the fact that I can barely walk bc of the pressure down there. How did you feel right before real labor started? Could you tell it was coming or was it like all of a sudden the contractions just came out of nowhere? Share your stories :)
