How soon after you got married did you get pregnant?
I know this goes against many religions, but my boyfriend and I decided to try for a baby about a year into our relationship. After 2 years of trying, I was diagnosed with PCOS and we kinda gave up. Shortly after that, my boyfriend proposed to me on Christmas. 10 months later we were married (this past October). Anyway, my dr. gave me a rx for provera to induce my period so it would be over before my wedding day. I've taken provera before so I knew how my body would react to it. Usually if I take it one month, I'd have a period on my own for the next 2 months. Well I did what he said and November 10th my period should have started on its own. I decided to give it a few more days.....nothing. So I took the provera again as directed by my dr. for 10 days. 4 days later AF should have arrived.....nothing again. Now I'm getting frustrated. Instead of going back to the dr, my husband told me to get a pregnancy test. I told him it was a waste of money because he knew it was very hard for us to get pregnant. He bought one anyway and I'd told him I'd take it just to shut him up about it. Out of nowhere I have to go to the bathroom. I grab the test and go. I then yelled to my husband that it was just 2 lines, 1 in each window. He then walked in the bathroom, tossed me the results paper, smiled, then walked out haha. I'm 6wks 2days today!
Obviously God had a hand in this. It's just odd to me that after trying for almost 3 years, and doing everything to get pregnant that it happened without trying right after we got married. So I guess I'm just wondering how many of you got pregnant shortly after getting married?

23 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoIs there a high risk of miscarriage with clomid?
I'm on provera right now to induce a period so my doctor can run more tests and then I'll probably go on clomid. I hear a lot of people tell me they've had miscarriages with clomid. I really don't think I can handle a miscarriage since we've been TTC for almost 3 years now. (Also, I have PCOS)
2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoI would love to have this problem...wouldn't you?
If I made $250,000+ and had to decide to take a 3% tax increase or not, I would love to have that debate with myself. I don't think myself nor my business would hurt any from it.

4 AnswersElections1 decade agoMichelle Bachman, does this sound anti-american to you?
We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no
matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can withstand the
power of millions of voices calling for change.
We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics who will
only grow louder and more dissonant in the weeks to come. We've been
asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against
offering the people of this nation false hope.
But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been
anything false about hope. For when we have faced down impossible
odds; when we've been told that we're not ready, or that we shouldn't
try, or that we can't, generations of Americans have responded with a
simple creed that sums up the spirit of a people.
Yes we can.
It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the
destiny of a nation.
Yes we can.
It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail
toward freedom through the darkest of nights.
Yes we can.
It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores and
pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness.
Yes we can.
It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for the
ballot; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land.
Yes we can to justice and equality. Yes we can to opportunity and
prosperity. Yes we can heal this nation. Yes we can repair this
world. Yes we can.
