  • Looking for apps for the elderly?

    Hey!

I'm looking for a list of apps that could be useful for the elderly population (especially those with psychologic|psychiatric needs). It can be for any tablet or smart phone.

Do you know any apps that could be useful or any websites that lists some?

    Thank you

  • What to do with chicken that's not good?

We bought 2 chickens from my uncle a little while ago. We cooked the first one today, and it was really dry and had no taste, we didn't eat any of it... They are also quite small and don't have a lot of meat on them.

We still have one left, and was wondering what we could do with it? I'd like not to waste it!

    Thank you :)

  • Stop my dog from barking?

We have a 1 year old doberman/rottie mix that we have since she's been 2 months. She's always been very quiet and rarely barked (just when playing hard or when she needed to go outside).

We live in a triplex, and since the last week, she's been barking and howling intensely when someone enters the building. We don't know what has started it. We closed the curtains so she wouldnt see when someone would walk inside, but we can hear the front door open and close, and it makes her bark too.

She's a big dog, barks and howls very loudly, i don't know how to stop her, and I don't want the neighboors to complain...

    Any ideas?

  • Facts and trivia ppt presentation?

    Hey

For my summer job (i'm a student) in a multidisciplinary medical clinic, I was asked to prepare a powerpoint presentation that would play on the TVs in the waiting room.

The only information I was given was that they want info on what the clinic does, health tips, etc in the form of trivia, questions, facts, "did you know", etc. and that it has to last 30 mins

I have never done anything like this before, I was wondering if anyone has tips for me on how to do this?

Where do I start, how many slides do I need and how long do they need to last, etc?

    Thank you for your help

  • Complicated family situation, need advice for wedding!?

    Hi

I'm getting married in 2 months (yay!)

So my dad has been married to my step-mother for 12 years. He recently left her for a (much!) younger women, about 2 months ago. Now, I don't know how to deal with this for the wedding.

I decided to invited my step-mom because, even though she's a bit crazy, she still kinda raised me and cared for me. My dad was totally opposed to this until last week, where he agreed he wasn't being reasonable.

So that's okay but now what do I do for the top table...

I really want my mother and her husband to be there next to me, and my boyfriend really wants his parents to be there.

My step-mother let us know that she would be really uncomfortable if my dad would sit with us with his new girlfriend (and so would I... I barely know her), but I can't really ask my dad to sit alone, or get my step mom to sit next to them...

What do I do? I'm so confused

    Thanks for your help

  • Can I go running with my dog?

    Hi!

I have a 4 month old dobbie/rottie mix puppy, and I want to start 'training' for a 5k. I'm going to do the couch to 5k program, and I was wondering if I could bring my puppy running with me? She loves running (often when we take walks, she starts running and can run for a really long time).

The other question I have is, what am I going to do during the winter? It's pretty harsh around here, so I stop running in november-ish.... Is it okay for her to have lots of exercise half of the year and just regular walks for the rest?

    Thank your

  • 5k apps question? which one to choose?

    Hey!

Last year I used the couch to 5 k website (c25k.com) to start running. (i had a timer while I run)

This year I have an iPhone and I am surprised to see that there are so many apps for that!

Now I'm just wondering which one to choose... (the price is not an issue)

    Any insight?

    Thanks!

  • Following my running program?

    Hey

I've been following a running/walking program for a few weeks. The program asks you to run 3 times a week, and increases the running time every week. I want to start running every day. Should I increase the running time every week or every 3 runs?

    Thanks

  • When should I go running?

So I registered for a 5k at the end of September, and it will be the first one I do. I have never runned before, so I am following the couch to 5k program (c25k).

I just got a bit of a schedule conflict. I am not sure when would be better to run. I work 7:30-5:30 and I bike 30 min both ways...

So should I wake extra early? but i am afraid that i am going to be too tired to bike to work...

Or should i go before or after dinner? I just need motivation! haha

    Thanks a lot
