we're having an informal wedding reception at our house and we are having a cake, but i wanted to make one other dessert to serve...i appreciate any ideas!

I am going for the first time this year and have been hearing mixed comments about the standing general admission area... is it like party central and really dirty? how early should we get there? should we bring a blanket or chairs? i greatly appreciate any tips!

i often understand what they are saying and usually agree, but they have been so contradictory!

they will tell one person to change a song and make it their own and then tell the next to stop changing it and just sing.

they say be original add your own style then they'll say oh that song is perfect the way it is why would you change it?!

it's driving me nuts!

does anyone else hate the newest black compact?! I loved the previous silver ones. they were simple and easier to carry around or slip into a purse, and there were so many different sizes. i dont wear lipstick so the new compact is just annoying to me and it is also tricky to open. i am just very disappointed with the new design, anyone agree? i understand they have to update their image and keep up with other cometics companies, but i just dont think the new design is practical for everyone. i have always loved mary kay products, but i dont know what they were thinking with this one.

The writer and director of Gattaca, Andrew Niccol, is set to write and direct stephenie meyer's other novel moving to the big screen, The Host. The Host is extremely different from the Twilight series, but I was just curious if all the stephenie meyer/twilight haters will give The Host a try. I think with Niccol, The Host could be really amazing!

It is wierd, but scary!

My mom has been making the same Nestle Tollhouse cookies for years and the past few years they have been coming out flat and even seperating. I know using cold, but softened butter is an issue...we don't think it is our oven b/c everything else comes out fine.

Does anyone else have this problem or have any tips to get fluffy cookies?
