I want to know what tax form do I use.

Friend of mine has lived in North Carolina all their life. Just last year a relative of hers passed away and left her a house in New York which she sold. What tax forms does she complete?

If a person had to pay sales tax quarterly and earned say $2600 in the quarter, how do they determine how much sales tax they have to pay the state of North Carolina? I would say that 75% of the sales were not in North Carolina and 25% of sales were in the state of North Carolina.

In North Carolina, there are many people from different states that come to North Carolina serving in the military.

I live in a house the was owned by my mother. My mother passed away and left me her estate. My mother's estate went through probate and I was made the executor of my mother's estate and my name was put on the deed of the house. I have been making monthly payments for a few years now. I went to HUD and they said they could not do anything because my name is not on the mortgage. They acted scared as if they did not know what to do.

A relative of my friend passed away. My friend's aunt left the house to her in the will. The executor of the estate is a lawyer. My friend asked the lawyer if she would receive title of property in her name know that probate has been settled, but that the lawyer told my friend that by not putting title in her name she won't have to pay as much taxes. Is the lawyer correct or should my friend still ask for title?

Can the lawyer use the sale of the house to pay his legal fees?
