Does anyone know if a lawsuit award is taxable?

I have bone to bone contact in both knees, severe back pain, and pain in my shoulders all are service related injuries. All the doctors do is pump me full of drugs that don't even work and I am getting sick to my stomach. This pain is constant and never goes away I also have a problem sleeping and walking. Any help out there?

I get leg ulcers they appear as bubbles on my legs. When they break open fluid (mostly water) comes out, then it gets painful and bigger and as always it gets infected. So, why do doctors treat it like a burn when I did not burn myself? I always wear compression socks and have my feet raised. And what causes Cellulitis and why do I always get it and how do I prevent it from happening again.

He has diabetes and is taking insulin to control it. Some times his blood sugars are high but most of the time it is in the normal range. It started out as a small water bubble when it broke open about the size of 1/2" to 2", now it is about 3" long and 2" wide plus his ankle is swollen and just below the wound it is all red. He has pain when touching the wound but not around it. What should I do for him take him to a different doctor or just let the treatment run its course. Someone please help....THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Since, I have been having trouble sleeping in the past few months there has been distress in the world earthquakes, fires, and war to mention a few. Are we all connected to nature on this planet or is it just a coincidence that I am having sleep problems.

For the past few days I have been having pain ( like a needle going into my outer thigh ) and then I also have been having tremors on the right side of my body leg, arm, and chest muscle. I have an appointment to see a doctor in a few days but should I be seen in the ER?? I have a long history of problems and take a long list of medication can this be the reason (the meds) for this. I have knee and back problems and I have not injured myself in awhile (no falls)

Hello, this site gives a point system for what? If you have an answer for someones problem just answer it we all need help in deciding on what to do in life. Besides what can we do with these points? The people that ask the questions need the help that's why we answer them. So can someone tell me what the point system and different levels are good for.

Bad knees (left has more damage than right one), lower bad has 3 herniated disc and 1 bulging disc, right shoulder hurts bad too. But for now I am concerned with my knees I can't even walk anymore I had a series of shots in my knees over a 3 week period that did not work and had a steroid mixed with numbing agent that worked for about 3-6 months but I can not keep doing that forever. I am in serious pain when sitting or standing and I am OBESE, but I am losing weight since 03/09 at 335lbs to today 285lbs. In June I was told that shots in the knee was only temporarily a fix and that I needed total knee replacement in both knees. I am 100% disabled vet and I can not afford this surgery at this time...:( Does anyone have any suggestion? I will take in all replies. Thanks for your concerns and help.

Recently, I lost my brother (11/25) and my blood sugars have been running between 100 to 300. I haven't been eating much and when I do it is mostly brown rice, tofu, and vegetables. NO beef, pork, chicken,or fish. Also, no dairy products. I take insulin (aspart 3x a day and lantus at night before bed. I don't pee a lot and I am not thirsty but I do drink a lot of water during the day. I am limited in what I can do hard to walk due to knee and back problems, also I am obese by over 100lbs. WHAT IS GOING ON

I have a cold sore that covers half of my upper lip and is very painful to touch. What causes this and what can I do to prevent it from happening again.

it has been a practice that we open the windows when cleaning the house, but now it is cold out why should the windows be opened.
