  • Looking for a song title?

    I've heard this song a number of times, but usually in a crowded restaurant where people are shouting over each other or have screaming kids demanding attention (or both).

    Anyway, I have been only able to hear part of a lyric in which a man with a rusty voice sings, "I'll keep my eye on the western sky" (NOT a Country-Western song).

    I've been looking for this song for a good while now, and I would deeply appreciate any help in finding it. And thank you (plus 10 points) in advance to anyone who can either identify the artist or the song!

  • Question for atheists and evolutionists.......?

    Science generally agrees that the coal beds were formed 300 million years ago, during the times of the dinosaurs. Science also generally agrees that Man "evolved" from apes about 10 million years ago, long after the dinosaurs.

    Can any of you explain then, the fact that a intricately worked brass bell, a cast-iron crucible and an intricately worked gold chain have been found in blocks of coal?

    The bell was found in a lump of coal that was determined to be 300 million years old! The iron crucible was in coal determined to be 295 million years old.

    So, either Man was around during the times of the dinosaurs and could smelt and work metals, or the Bible story of pre-Flood Man is true, in which it says;

    Genesis 4:22

    22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

    If the Flood story is true, then the coal beds were formed by the Flood, which fits in with these discoveries. Your thoughts?

  • Gentiles moving to Israel?

    My family and I have long considered moving to Israel. However we are Gentiles, and I understand that there is much resistance and bias by the Israeli government to "foreigners" coming to live there. Is this true? And if not, what are the procedures for Gentiles to emigrate there?

  • Looking for the title of an old sci-fi book?

    I am still looking for an old sci-fi book in which an Earth spaceship landed on Mars. The landing area was covered with vegetation which gave creatures who wandered into it vivid dreams as it slowly consumed them. I think it may have been called "Empress of Mars" or something like it.

    The men and women of the ship succumbed to the plant's narcotic fumes and after many "adventures" one of them awoke long enough to realize what was happening and rescue the others.

    About the only solid detail I remember of the book was that there were flying ships similar to helicopters, but which used counter-wound opposing springs as a power source.

    Two answers were given, (Methusaleh's Children) and Martian Chronicles, neither which was the right one. (Thank you for the answers, though). :)

    Hopefully someone will recognize the details and will remember the name?

    Thank you!!!

  • Looking for a song title and artist?

    This lady had a beautiful voice similar to Pat Benatar, and she sang a song that had as one of the lyrics as best as I can remember;

    "I feel you in the sunrise, your kiss on the wind...."

    I heard it on the radio several times, but no information was given as to the title and the artist. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Looking for a hilarious late early 70's song about a hippie stopping at the redneck Dew Drop Inn.?

    The song talks about a long-haired hippie-type guy whose car breaks down in a small town, so he stops in at a "red-neck looking place called the Dew Drop Inn." Inside he meets a bunch of redneck John Birch Society members including "one old drunk chick and a guy with green teeth".

    The hippie diverts suspicion from himself by implying that green-teeth is a "Commie". They start looking suspiciously at green-teeth until he finally convinces his buddies he's not a "Commie", and points out that the stranger has long hair and is oddly dressed.

    The hippie makes a bee-line for the door, and gets into his now repaired car. The song then says about the men coming out and toward him at a trot, "I guess I should have gone ahead and run, but somehow I just couldn't resist the fun, of chasing them all just once around the parking lot".

    The song was a riot, but for the life of me, I can't remember the name of the song or who performed it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

    I have been looking for years for this book, and any help would be greatly appreciated! It would have been published in the mid-late 60's.

    Thank you!
