My HOA has continually had issues with my house and yard. I get notices all year, every year, and every time I fix what I ~thought~ was the problem, I get another complaint saying my property is still non-compliant.

The original complaint was "failure to maintain property", but I mow & water my lawn, maintain shrubs & rocks & trees... so I had to call them to find out what the issue was. After repeated calls, I finally got somebody on the phone, and the answer was that the siding on my chimney was rotting. THAT'S NOT LANDSCAPING!

After I got the chimney fixed, I got another complaint saying that I was still non-complaint. Having no idea WTF they were talking about, I called another several times to get, "there's a dead tree that needs to be cut down".

So, I got the tree cut down. The whole time, I've been receiving other complaints -- specifically, pathes of dirt in the back yard & weeds on the side of the house -- all of which are a constant effort for me. I do have 2 dogs, so fixing the patch of dirt in my back yard is impractical, but it's MANDATORY according to the HOA.

I feel like I've been harassed by my HOA because they have never been specific about what the issues have been -- but there have ALWAYS been issues. I know that my yard isn't a disaster. My home is beautiful. And I work hard to take care of it. My HOA seems to want me to have everything perfect, but that's not fair.

I have correspondence that I've received from them, which only slightly backs up my case. I've spoken to the director of the HOA and he assured me that he wasn't interested in getting money from me, but here I am, looking at a summons for several thousand dollars.

Can I sue them for harassment? Do I have a chance of winning the case at all?

I live in Denver, Colorado USA. I'd like to see cool stars or spiral galaxies or different things in our solar system, but I don't know where to start. My telescope is a 114mm reflector type with various eyepieces and a 3" barlow. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
