  • Clear Tongue Piercings!?

I will be getting my tongue pierced the day before I leave to college. I really want to hide it from my family until I come back for the holidays. I know that the initial ring must be longer for the swelling of your tongue, but does anyone know if there are clear rings for your tongue and that are long enough to be used right after its pierced? If not, does anyone have advice? I only have to hide it for one day, so any tips? I was also thinking about leaving the barbel in, but just changing both balls to clear half circles. Would this be any better? Thanks in advance.

  • Fostering animals at an Animal Shelter?

I'm 18 years old and thinking about fostering animals from a local animal shelter next summer. I do have a part time job (but I can bring pets there) and I will also have summer school 2 days a week for about 4 hours. If you foster can you tell me about your experiences? Any good stories/advice?

  • Is becoming a veterinarian worth it?

I'm going to be a college freshman this year, planning on focusing on pre-veterinary medicine. For all the people that are vets or know vets, is the job worth all the hard schooling? Some sites say vets don't earn more than 50thous a year, but others say they earn much more. What do you guys think?
