A few hours ago i relized that some of the sound features on my iphone 4s arent working, when i press the volume buttons it doesnt show the volume going up or down and the volume bar when im listening to music or watching a youtube vid, but it does when im on the phone or on facetime, and i can hear people on the phone and on facetime when it rings, and i also cant hear when i unlock my phone, ive already called apple and they werent very helpful and ive already turned my phone on and off. help please?

So i go to itunes and it says that i have the latest update, but it says that the latest one is 4.2 and i have the itunes 10.5 version, would it have to do with that i only dowloaded the 4.2 version on my ipod yesterday?
