How many neurotransmitters are there? Is there one receptor site on on a neuron for each neurotransmitter?
Can a receptor site handle more than one type of neurotransmitter? Can one neuron produce more than one type of neurotransmitter? What type of fluid fills the tiny gap in the synaptic cleft?

Are there dopaminergic-only neurons and seratoninergic-only neurons, for example. I believe there are, on each neuron, a number of different receptors for different kinds of neurotransmitters.
