What should I charge to update clients websites?
I'm just starting to design for other people and businesses, and while I've decided on an hourly price, and specialty features price (blog, forums, etc)... I'm not sure on what to charge for updating the site.
The client I'm working with is an event management company. Every so often they will need me to update the images on the site... how would I go about billing them for something so simple like this?
1 AnswerSmall Business1 decade agoWhy do corporations like to keep employee performance ratings at a median?
I work for a company that does performance ratings based on a 5 point scale... however the highest rating they typically give to employees is a 3... now this woman here in compensation says there's a reason for that, but she won't reveal it. I personally think it's a load of bull, but whatever.
Anyone know any reasons that corporations typically do this?

1 AnswerNew York City1 decade agoWhat are some "techy" things to do in NYC?
My girlfriend and I are visiting on 12/11 and we're going on a budget. We're looking for some cheaper things to do, and I'm wondering if there's any sort of technology exhibits or cool tech stores to look around in.
I found the Sony Wonder Technology Lab so we'll try to get there early to snag some tickets, and I know there's an Apple store up that way as well, is there anything else that might interest us a bit?
How about non-tech things to do that won't burn a hole in my pocket?
3 AnswersNew York City1 decade agoWhat 2 RB's should I start?
Matt Forte vs. Steelers (no Polamalu)
Steve Slaton vs. Titans
Ray Rice vs. Chargers
I have slaton and forte in ... I'm thinking of swapping Rice in for Slaton, but I don't wanna make that move too soon.
Any thoughts? Solid answers please, no small "choose these 2" responses... give me some reasons man!!
3 AnswersFantasy Sports1 decade agoPick my Superstar RB's name!!!?
I have a Superstar (or whatever its called in NCAA) RB and he is the shortest and lightest you can make a player. He is actually very good as I've played 3 games with him and I've reached the top of the Texas Tech depth chart after starting 5th string. (It didn't take me 3 games to reach the top of the depth chart I'm just a little out of order here lol)
Right now his name is "Little Guy" which is nice and it's like an inside joke between me and my bro, but I want something a little more football... something cooler.
So help me out!!
8 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoIs hot or cold food better on swollen glands?
I might have mono... the doctor was unsure, but I know one thing, I don't have strep. The first two days were rough, but I was still able to choke down some food.
I'm on the third day and my mouth and face are so swollen that I can't eat anything. I tried ice cream, no dice, even drinks like apple juice and water, but they both were just as painful.
So inevitably the question is, what is better on my glands and my throat... hot food such as farina and soup, or cold food like ice cream.
Also, has anyone else gotten severe ear pain as a symptom of mono? I'm not sure if it's my ear or just the pain from my glands traveling up my face, but it's only on one side, the other side of my face is just peachy.
