Why deliberately make the US weaker by changing policy when the past policy has done exactly what it set out to do?

The taxes start now, but the coverage doesn't start for three years. If I die without coverage can my family sue them? They have clearly taken responsibility for my coverage and now they will have written into law the three year wait.

Will we all get to go to the University of Hawaii for free or will the government force us to stay at home and attend or own crappy state Universities? Much like they force us to attend our local primary, middle and high schools?

I find it very interesting that there is a segment of our population that thinks it is okay to allow a government to provide health care for them knowing full well that the Government has to by force if need be, take the money from some one else to pay for it.

The Government while it can print all the money it wants, it's only source of income is to pass laws that forces "WE the PEOPLE" to pay TAXES. If we don't pay the TAXES, the Government will use MEN WITH GUNS to FORCE "We the PEOPLE" to pay the TAXES. Your Health Care will be paid with TAXES collected by the TREAT of MEN WITH GUNS.

If it takes MEN WITH GUN to pay for your Health Care, how is that FREEDOM?

After the gratuitous introduction of house responsible for this mess, the very first line of the bill read as quoted below:

"A BILL

To provide affordable, quality health care for all Americans

and reduce the growth in health care spending, and

for other purposes."

"...and for other purposes."????

Are you kidding me? Who knows how many countless lawyers worked on this bill and the very first line that addresses the purpose of the bill included the phrase, "...and for other purposes?"

Never mind what other purposes an Health Care Reform Bill is suppose to serve, but this is the best wording a group of lawyers could agree on for the first line of a 1990 page law?

What other purposes are there for the bill? The "Tax you into oblivion" purpose. The "Interview you and advise you to just die" purpose?

The very first line is a bad joke.

We are told health care is in dire need of reform. It has to be fixed and has to be fixed NOW or we are all screwed.

Yet, the democrats plans to fix the broken system will not go into effect until 2013 even if it were passed tonight. Why?

Could it be that 2013 is after the next presidential election and enacting health care reform before then would insure Obama's defeat in the 2012 election cycle?

Anyone find this odd? Kind of like the Stimulus Bill. Had to be done today. But only 6% of the $786 Billion will be spent this year. Most of it will not be spent until in 2010 and more in 2011/12. Election years.
