  • Legs shaking terribly DURING workout?

I am a 14 yr old female hockey player and I have just started my summer training plan. As I was doing my lower body strength exercises (hockey specific) I noticed that my legs started shaking very badly, the only way to get it to stop slightly is to sit down. A lot of my exercises are done with one leg (i.e. 12 reps one leg, 15 sec rest, 12 reps other leg) and the shaking in my legs is not only uncomfortable and painful, but throws me off balance so much that I cannot complete my exercise. Why are my legs doing this and is there anything I can do to minimize the shaking so that I can at least complete the exercise? I can deal with the pain but it doesn't help me to work out if I can't complete my exercises. Also, like I said, I'm 14, female, and I play a high level of competitive ice hockey (boys and girls). This is also my first summer that I am following a very structured plan of hockey specific exercises. Thanks so much for helping me out, I just want to get back to working out :)

  • Jersey color scheme ideas?

My team is getting new jerseys next year and we need a new color scheme. We are called the grizzlies and there is semi pro team with that name in our area, they wear green and black. Should we use those colors with a green jersey with black and white accents sorta like UND has. If not any ideas on other colors would be great and links to jerseys would also be appreciated. And one last thing, we also want to do a new logo so any links or pictures of a logo that corresponds with the name grizzlies would be great.

  • best shoulder pads for hockey right now?

I need new shoulder pads i have rbk 5ks and they pretty much are too small now and not protective enough. What are the best shoulder pads out there for overall protection especially on the shoulders, comfort, durability, weight and looks (by that basically so they dont look funky under a jersey) Here's an example of shoulder pads that look weird http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Andrew_Ladd....

I was thinking maybe one95's or are any of the newer reebok shoulder pads good?

  • Reebok 11k or Bauer Totalone?

I currently use an x:60 p88 and i really love the accuracy, it is really easy to pick corners with this stick. I play center and/or wing and I consider myself a shooter and passer and when I shoot I really like to snipe. Which stick would be better?

  • For someone who loves the X:60?

I have an X:60 kane curve (yes 'an' as in one not rolling in money) and i love it. Problem is it has a small chip/crack in the heel. I am saving-up-for/going-to-buy either another x:60 or a totalone. I am forward mostly center or left wing. I love to shott. Lots of snap shots. I take slap shots when I can and a lot of wrist shots too. I don't dangle a ton but i do stickhandle a lot and have good hands. Which should I get? And please don't mention stamkos and his totalone or anything about players in the NHL, I just want a stick that will be good for me.

  • You're on a breakaway..........?

The other teams D is eating your dust, just you and the goalie.Do you go for a quick shot five hole, shoot top shelf, do a simplistic but pretty-much guaranteed goal type deke, or something really complex and showy that is going to be harder to score on but great if you make it.

BQ: What's your favorite move on a breakway?

BQ2: What is your favorite goal you've ever scored?

  • Black or white hockey tape?

For the blade, which color is better, and i know a lot of it is personal preference but what color do YOU use and why?

  • Sanding off a square toe?

I want to make the toe of my stick slightly rounder... its not super square, it is the squareness of a retail kane curve stick. Will that damage the blade a lot?

  • X:60 or S17 stick.......?

The X:60 has a small chip near the heel but it doesn't make any cracking sounds when i fut some force on it. The X:60 is a Kane curve, Lie 6. And the "chip" is not deep, just a little off the surface. 67 flex

The s17 is a Heatly curve, no big chips, just scrapes here and there, lie 5. 65 flex

Which stick/curve/lie combo will be best for me? I am a center, shooter, take a lot of snapshots and wrist shots and like to pick corners, I don't dangle a ton but i do stick handle a lot and have good hands I want the one that will give me a quick release, an accurate shot, and crisp passes with good feel.

Out of the tow, which will be better for me?

  • How to develop a quick release?

Ok, so I have a hard accurate shot. I score about once a game with one of my teams but that was last year and I am playing at a higher level this year. I want a really quick release on wrist and snap shots to really take my game to the next level and score in lot's of traffic. What are some good drills I can do at home with a skillpad tape 2tape, golf and hockey balls, and street and ice pucks? Also what can I do to take my stickhandling to the next level? Any tips to combine the both of these in one drill? How long and often should I be doing this, especially with practicing 3 times a week and having up to 3 games? So around 4-6 times a week is when I play.

  • How do you tape your stick?

Butt end and the blade. White or Black tape? Heel to toe? Toe to heel? how far down your shaft do you go when you tape the knob? Do you use any special kind of tape on the end? Do you candy cane your shaft?

I tape the end with white tape, a little more than 2/3 of an inch width, I go around the shaft exactly 9 times. I do the spiral twisty thing down a couple inches then go down another inch with the tape back to normal and go back up.

On the Blade I use black tape go heel to toe all the way over the toe. wax the bottom half of the stick and the top half I wax lightly, and I put a strip of tape on the bottom before taping too.

  • Selling iPhone 3g 8gb used,, (jailbroken?)?

So first off, How much will a used 8gb iphone 3g go for? (average) no scratches or anything.

How much more will I get for it if I jailbreak it?

If I jailbreak it should I restore it on itunes first, then jailbreak then sell, or will itunes not notice it's jail broken and let me restore it anyway? (did that make sense?)

And last but not least, apple ended it's free case thing for the iphone 4, does this mean the problem is fixed or not?

  • Earbuds with remote, and possibly a mic?

The standard apple ear buds don't fit in my ear and the style I like is more of the skullcandy ink'd style with the squishy things on the ends. I really want ear buds with good sound quality, is my main priority, they don't have to be super nice like dr dre ear buds but not breaking every week, I would really REALLY like them to have a remote to go from song to song, a mic would be great too. Also noise isolating because with the skullcanys I have now they don't block sound very well.My budget is $20 or under, I have heard of frogz earpollution ear buds, are those any good? What is the difference between the ones with the mic and the noise iscolating ones? Here is a list from very important to not really:

They have to be under 20 bucks, thats a given. Also not skullcandy or apple, and the ones with squishy things on the end are mandatory. And MUST be compatible with the iPhone.

    1. sound quality has to be good

    2.noise isolating (cancels outside noise)

    3. durability (not super tough you can step on them, just won't break without cause)

    4. Remote

    5. mic

Thanks a lot so again I have been really considering the Frogz ear buds I mentioned, any thoughts on those would be extremely helpful. Thanks

  • Team bonding for hockey?

So my team is both boys and girls, and we are bantams (moslty 8th grade, the ninth graders play highschool)we want to show that we are a team, but we also want to bond some more to develop more chemestry, for example, the highschool team wear their jerseys to school the day of, or day before a game if it's a friday. Also I think the football teams do something like this and they have team dinners. We don't want to do exactly what they do by wearing our jeresys on fridays because it's sort of a highschool thing, but to you have any ideas? Thanks

BQ: What looks better, or more classy i guess you could say on a jersey, the logo in front? or the letters saying the teams name or where you play going across or diagonal down the front? Or the tow letters that stand for where you play in the middle? Here are examples:

    http://michigan-hockey.org/jerseys/ and

http://blog.prorumors.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/... ( sorry it's not hockey but you get the idea.

  • Need help with team apparel?

So for our (ice) hockey team we want to get some apparel for us players. We were thinking a duffel bag or drawstring backpack , sweatshirt, shorts, t-shirt, and maybe warm ups, but we don't want it to be really pricey. Our main objective is to look like i team off the ice with more than warm ups, anyone know some websites that has stuff like that? Maybe even customizable? Thanks
