Recently I started a new job with a big raise and A LOT less responsibility. Suddenly, I've found myself with tons of free time during the day so I've been eating and breathing the internet!

  • Tests for infertility?

My husband and I have been ttc for over a year now. I've monitored my BBT and cervical mucus. We've cut out caffeine and been eating healthy. We've even resorted to using 'sperm friendly' lubricant. I called to set an appointment with my doctor yesterday but I can't get in for four months. Can anybody share their experience with the process of being tested for infertility?

  • Negative test/late period?

In twenty years of menstruation I cannot remember having a late period. My husband and I were cautiously optimistic when I was late on Friday as we have been trying to conceive for nine months. However, I am now five days late and all of the pregnancy tests say I'm not pregnant. It's getting really frustrating! I'm calling the doctor on Friday if I haven't started or tested positive but I was just looking for some encouraging stories?

  • Anyboby have a 2007 Jeep Liberty?

Recently, my husband and I purchased a 2007 Jeep Liberty. We got it home and realized that it didn't have an owner's manual. We are planning to order one but in the mean time, my Jeep is chiming.

I noticed when we bought it that the instrument panel on the top (where the direction and temperature are displayed) that it said it needed serviced in so many miles. Those miles have passed and now every time I turn on my car, it chimes. How do I turn this off?

  • How about some wild wedding gifts?

My fiance and I decided to do a registry (I look at it as suggestions of what we would like IF guests want to give us a gift). I always thought it was a courtesy to make things easier on the guests.

We registered at two places and made sure to pick a wide variety of priced item to accommodate any wallet. But with a week to go, my mom has been asked by several of her friends (who know where we are registered) if there is anything special we would like for the wedding. So my mom's been calling me and asking. Rather confused, I respond, "Yes, anything on our registry list. Those are the things we want."

All I can picture is that "something special" means hand crocheted monogrammed toilet seat covers and glow in the dark candles with our invitation embedded in it! :()

What's the craziest (well meaning) wedding gift you've heard of or received?

This is just for fun; I'm not materialistic; I know my guests' presence is presents enough, blah, blah, blah - don't be a kill joy :)

  • Too much second guessing?

I'm getting married next Saturday and have very recently started second guessing my choices for, well, everything. I've been doing the "I wish I would have . . ." game in my head and kind of regretting things I got and things I wanted but sacrificed.

I know this is just last minute stress and that everything will be beautiful and I'll be so happy to be married that I won't even notice the table runners.

Have any of you wonderful brides experienced this second-guessing?

  • Invitation audacities?

Yesterday, I was at my fiance's niece's birthday party. Many of the guests there are invited to our wedding in December so a few stopped by our table to tell us how excited they were to come celebrate. One woman began telling me who would be coming together from her family and I'm pretty sure that one or two people she mentioned weren't invited to the wedding. Since we have 400 people invited and she was not on my side of the guest list, I couldn't be sure. But this got me thinking . . .

Why do people assume that they can bring whoever they want to a formal wedding just because THEY got an invitation? What were some of your audacious guest stories?

  • Could you "trash" your dress?

I was just visiting a photography website with pictures of brides in the ocean and, while the pictures are amazing, I don't think I could intentionally ruin my dress like that. What about you - could you do it? What if you knew there was no way to clean or save it?

  • Is anyone else bored with planning?

People keep asking me how wedding planning is going and then seem a little put off when I simply reply, "Fine." It's awful but I feel like wedding planning has become such a way of life for me these days that it's like going to work and cooking supper. I'm terribly excited to BE married, I'm just so drained on planning all of the details.

    Anyone else feeling like this?

  • Centerpiece holders?

I need your creativity! We are having a Christmas wedding and the centerpieces were suppose to be a clear bowls filled with a red pillar candle, shiny Christmas bulbs and pine but I am having a heck of a time finding the right bowls. Can you think of something creative to use instead of bowls? Keep in mind that it can't be too elaborate because I need 35 of them and I would like them to be less than $2.00 a container.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hair and makeup?

Is this hair style fancy enough for a wedding? I want to wear it down and curled. I have some different ideas too but I wanted opinions.

  • Wedding shoes?

I'm having a Christmas wedding and my dress has red trim at the bottom.

    http://davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?st...

I want to wear ballet flats and the consultant suggested that I have them dyed to match the trim so they blend in when I walk. Dying shoes just seems so 90's prom . . . What do you think?

  • Fabric tissue paper?

I received flowers the other day and wrapped around the bundle was what I can only describe as fabric tissue paper. It was some kind of fiber and used only as decoration but I would like to find some. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
