What is the wisest choice in this situation?
I've liked this girl since sophomore year of high school. I'm a junior right now, but this girl just recently got dumped by my best friend. My best friend never knew I liked this girl, but over the time, me and this girl have gotten to be good friends where we would talk all the time. Now that she is single, I felt that I had to tell my best friend and this girl my true feelings. My best friend said I could go for it if I wanted, but when I told this girl I liked her, she said she wasn't over my best buddy yet. At first I was hurt because I felt like i just got friendzoned, but then I realized that it was best for everyone in this situation. I got over the rejection pretty quickly, and I felt confident again since I never had to worry about hiding anything from her again. She and I continue to talk, but recently she's gotten to be extra flirty and nice to me. I didn't think too much of it at first until a mutual friend told me that she would go out with me after she got over my best friend. First and foremost, and I know this comes across as selfish, I don't want to be a rebound for her. If there comes a time when she tells me she is ready for us to have a relationship, what would I tell her? If I say I've moved on, she may feel like I never really liked her in the first place but if I tell her I do still like her, I think I'd be miserable because now that I'm over her, she seems like a very needy/ attention hungry person. If I broke up with her, she would suffer after being dumped twice. I'd still want to be friends with her, but I don't know if I'm over analyzing this scenario or not. Thanks from a very confused high schooler.

1 AnswerFriends7 years agoHelp me out with this one weird problem...?
Before I begin let me tell you a bit about myself. I'm 15 and in high school and I play sports, I listen to music, I hang out with my friends, I maintain pretty awesome grades and am intelligent, I like to have fun, I feel like I'm a pretty social person. The problem here is that although I'm confident for the most part, sometimes I can't control myself. Like yes, I can talk to girls and be chill about it but sometimes I just faze out and just become awkward and stop talking or just say hi really quietly. I may be an introvert, I sort of care about what others think of me but would I change that? Any tips? I just want to not care what happens. And also another thing: when I'm the victim of a funny joke or something sometimes I come back with a pretty good comeback but other times I'm not as witty with it and say something stupid. I'm a pretty funny guy but I guess my confidence is being affected somehow because I care about what other people think too much. The weird part is, I have moments where I don't care at all and make a fool of myself like on stage or with my friends or in a certain class, but usually I'm really tense and nervous with a rapid heartbeat. I don't know why that happens. This may be a reason that I sweat so much as well, like for no reason at all... Anyways thanks in advance for helping me figure out my problem hopefully: How can I not care what others think and be as confident as can be?

3 AnswersFriends8 years agoHelp me out for college?
Everyday I wake up thinking how close I am to succeeding in life.. yet I'm still a sophomore... I really want to go to a great college and have a great time while getting ahead in life. I consider myself pretty mature and serious in school, although I tend to joke around quite a bit when I can.. I want to go to a rather large university that's a top notch athletic (D-1 football?) school but also gives great opportunities through education and will help out in the future. My top universities are Stanford University, Northwestern University, and if I must, University of Illinois- Chicago (UIC). As I stated earlier, I'm currently a sophomore and I know I have time, but I just want to weigh my options. I just took the ACT last month and got a 27 (Math- 29, English-28, Reading-26, Science-25) on it without really preparing for it- only 1 practice test. My GPA last year was 4.0 with 4.4 weighted. This year, I'm kind of struggling in math, but I think I can bring my grade up to a B at least by the end of the semester. I'm very hardworking in school, I'm funny, I love sports, I love to have fun, I like science, I like history, I like reading, I like to be social a lot. I'm Indian and being from that culture, my parents have directed me towards becoming one of the "big" jobs: doctor, lawyer, etc. I don't like arguing so I can cross law out but I do like science so doctor or scientist interests me. I like biology and anatomy and physiology but I do understand the commitment to become a profession in science- 8+ years of school. That kind of bugs me, but I'm willing to do it if it interests me. I understand when people say pick what you would want to be if you didn't get paid for any job, but I want a highly-honored profession and would like to make a little money.. I love sports, but I know I wouldn't make too much.. Call me greedy, but I was raised with the mentality that money makes the world go round so I can't give up on it. My biggest dream was to make it to the NFL but being realistic, it's not going to happen but even if I did, I'd hate to put up with the injuries and concussions going around.. So yes, that's all I've got to say.. I don't know what I'd like to be fully yet. I like a variety of things but some are far fetched and some are to easy.. I would like a challenge but not too much of it. I don't know, please help me. Also.. I do plan on taking the SAT soon and the ACT multiple times. I couldn't play football this year but I'm doing volleyball and weightlifting in gym. I plan on doing football and volleyball and weightlifting for junior and senior year as well. I know the 27 won't get me into ANY of those schools.. If you read the entire question, you'd see that I'm a sophomore and I plan on taking the ACT multiple times.. My goal is a 32+.

3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)9 years agoHelp me with my fear?!?
I'm extremely afraid of dogs, I have been because my mom never really let me near them when I was younger. I'm 15 now and I need to get over this fear because I can't go to my friends' parties because they all have dogs. What can I do? I can't even walk past a dog on the same path, much less pet one. I'm just not used to them I guess.
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness9 years agohow to get rid of my fear...?
Of dogs? I cannot stand them. Whenever I've encountered a loose dog, I sprint as far as i can away from it. I think this is caused by my mom, who never let me near dogs when i was little and its carried into my teens. Will i ever get past it? I know they're gentle, but what freaks me out is their teeth or when they bark. I really want to get over this, because all my friends have dogs, and everytime they asked me to hang out at their place, I make excuses saying I can't. This is really frustrating and please help. Also I'm almost 15 (freshman). THANKS IN ADVANCE

4 AnswersDogs9 years agoWhy are people so narrow minded about immigration?
Okay, first off please don't hate children of illegal immigrants. It's not their fault. Many people hate illegals, especially Latinos, but I for one am Indian. I came to the US when I was 3 years old, speak perfect English, know all about the history of the US, and would do anything to stay here. I've had straight A's throughout school, and I'm a freshman in high school now. The reason i brought up this question is because I'm turning 15 soon, and won't be able to obtain a permit, much less a license, or workers permit. I have a dream to go to Stanford or UIC (University Of Illinois in Chicago) to become a doctor. I have great plans and only just found out about my status last year. I know my parents screwed up, but why must people be so narrow minded. I want to live in the US, I hate living in India, I want to work here, live here, and stay here for the rest of my life. All of my goals would be ruined, and what many Americans don't know is that they were immigrants themselves. So please, if you have any idea how I could become a citizen, please say so. I promise to give back to the US for taking me in, but if there's no chance, then there's no point in life. I want to finish school here at the least, I just need to. Sorry if this sounded sad and it was long but it's the truth.

someone insults me? I can't seem to make a comeback because ignoring makes you seem weak. I can't think, and even if i do say something back, it doesnt make sense.
4 AnswersMental Health9 years agoHow should I go about getting rid of my cruel nickname?
Alright, my name is Mohit ( Mo-hit) so when i was in middle school, I used to be really fat and I was called motits and motitties. As you can see this is so embarassing to be called this by a few people in front of everyone. And since it sounds so close to my name, I can't ignore it and I can't take it. Now i'm a freshman in high school, almost 15, and I've lost quite a lot of weight/ slimmed down but still have some fat in my chest so what i want is, for some people to stop calling me this in public, its so douchey. a few people even call me that on facebook for the whole world to see......... its so frustrating

Well I'm 14, 5'5" and weigh around 126. A couple years ago I used to be really fat and all the fat was stored in my chest and stomach... Well now I'm in football and starting to see a 4pack coming out because of it. I have practice 4 hours a day 6 days a week... So is this enough to get rid of the fat in my chest... Because it's annoying how the rest of my body is alright, and it's slowing me down too... Any help please

QB- Tom Brady
RB- Matt Forte
RB- Danny Woodhead
WR- Andre Johnson
WR- DeSean Jackon

DEF/ST- Philadelphia
K- David Akers
BENCH:
QB- David Garrard

I know I need a good runningback for my second slot, so i preposed a trade to give Jones and Tomlinson away for Jamaal Charles and I might trade Pettigrew for Jermichael Finley. What do you guys think?
7 AnswersFantasy Sports10 years agoDo you think I can start on my football team?
To start off, I'm a 5'5" 130lb Indian guy who has experience with football and plays with a huge passion.
I have 3+ years of playing organized football for my town. I really love football, and it's even a dream to make it big into the NFL, DON'T HATE...
Anyways, I'm not really muscular, or not really fast, but my high metabolism helped me maintain my weight for a year or so...
In organized football, I have played these positions: HB,FB, TE on offense, and basically everything on defense (I played good DEFENSE :D and I'm versatile there, but not built for speed, my 100m is 15.3s.
Anyways, high school is coming up and I really want to do good with grades, and with my extracurriculars: Football.
Everyday if it's sunny I go swimming at the local pool to burn some fat, and then alternating days I go play basketball at the local gym. I do these activities for around 2 hours each day. I've used weights but don't know really any effective workouts that can get me muscle. As for strength, I can bench 100, which is pretty bad considering I weigh 130... Flexibility; when reaching for my toes, I can touch the ground with flat palms but I think that's because I'm short... Also I can do 25 pushups in one go. 40ish crunches/situps in one go too... I've never really stuck with a workout plan and I need help to decide whether I'm good enough to play football in high school. Next week, starts football camp, where I'll go for summer conditioning as football starts in August. In high school I'm planning to play both Offense: TE, FB AND Defense: ANYTHING. So do you have anything that will help me get in shape and get muscle weight for football, I want to get around 135-140lb if I can of muscle. BTW, football camp is 3 weeks long. I think I can start in everything if I dedicate myself to football, but then comes my parents who want me to stick with schoolwork ONLY and I will try my best to do that. I really want to make this work and thanks for taking all this time to read this but here's the question really:
Do you think I could become a starting star player for the freshman football team?
Also, any tips on losing chest fat?
P.S. I'm vegetarian meaning I eat mostly veggies, and occasionally some kinds meat. I can eat eggs and chicken, and fish, but I don't like it cuz of the smell lol.
