  • My male rabbit just got neutered...?

He just got neutered and when I picked him up they said he had eaten so he could come home. Now that I have him home he is of course very tired and drinking water but hasn't touched his food. I've tried hand feeding him and he's not interested. Is this normal?

  • I'm getting my rabbit neutered in a couple weeks....?

and I want to know what to expect after surgery. Will he require a lot of care? Will he be mellow after surgery? If yes, for how long? Should I use a different kind of bedding in his cage so as to not irritate the area with stitches? I have a vet that specializes in exotic animals and rabbits. I have asked them all the important questions regarding the surgery but forgot to ask about post-op....I only asked about pain meds. So any insight anyone can give I'd appreciate. I just want the best for my little guy. He's a lionhead rabbit and will be 5 months old at the time of surgery and will be coming home the same day of surgery! Thanks :)

  • Lionhead rabbit owners only....?

Would like to hear about your lionhead's personality! I have a four month old male. He's a black single mane. He doesn't like being held although he's lovable when you lay on the floor with him. Very outspoken with his likes and dislikes (grunts). He'll be getting neutered. He's very picky about what veggies he likes and won't touch fruits. Anybody had spraying issues? Any suggestions on making him more comfortable with being held?

  • How often do you come across a rabbit that sprays it's urine?

I have a 4 month old lionhead male rabbit....love him to pieces! :) I've read a lot about rabbits that spray but just wonder how common an occurance it is? We are considering getting him neutered to avoid this but was still wondering. And at what age would they start spraying? Thanks
