  • What if we return to the Valley of the Gun?

In recent USA far west history, the one that got cheated went out and shot the offending person or challenged to a quick draw shoot-out, Around the same time in civilized cities, there would be pistol duel at 10 paces and more earlier than that sword fights etc. However the problem still continued, Do you think that if death was more of a possible outcome of cheating (I think there might still be crimes of passion) there would be less cheating in our now more civilized society. Consider that in Islam (altough many countries try to outlaw this) a family member will be selected to do justice to the offending party(s)

Furthermore consider this reference to animals recently (today) posted on MSN reference poaching (poaching, taking some elses lover, spouse, wife.gf )

" when it comes to wild animals, it’s a violation of international law. It can upset ecosystems, endanger entire species. In other words, it’s a serious, widespread and downright destructive practice." Usually results in the death of the one attempting to cheat or steal. In general there is an understanding amongst animals and they dont poach. These animals dont even go and get married and make promises the way we do, are they more moral and civilized? Obviously cheating continues however would you be more likely to not participate if it would result in your likely death.

The arguement is that with such a threat over your head that it would make sex more exciting and then to try and do it anyway. So would the threat of death prevent you or your SO from cheating?

  • Can marriage solve problems in a long term dating relationship?

Marraige when there was doubt in existing relationship has been compared to "Jumping off a cliff and trying to build your wings on the way down". Give an example of where you were able to build the wings before you hit rock bottom. or failed to get the wings working.
