  • When will I ovulate? OPK positive this morning!?

OPK was negative last night, positive this morning and negative this afternoon (9 hours after the positive). How soon after the positive will I ovulate? 12 hours? 24 hours? If I ovulate 24 hours after, then that is tomorrow morning, but my guy doesn't get home until 6pm, egg will be 12 hours old, still alive? Are the spermies fast enough to get there before the egg dies?

  • OPK and timing intercourse?

I had intercourse yesterday afternoon and a negative OPK last night. Got a positive OPK this morning but a negative one just now (afternoon, 9 hours after positive one this morning). But no intercourse today, maybe tomorrow after my guy gets home from work. When will I ovulate? Since I'm not surging anymore, is ovulation gonna be today or tomorrow? He doesn't get home until after 6pm tomorrow night, was yesterday my only chance? Are the spermies still up there?

  • Need help! Still a shot at conceiving?

I had sex yesterday afternoon and a negative OPK last night. Got a positive OPK this morning, but won't have sex again until tomorrow (and that's a maybe). If I ovulate tomorrow (based on a positive OPK today), could I still conceive from intercourse yesterday? I guess I feel like since I got the positive OPK today, I should BD today. I guess I'm a little anxious, I just don't want to miss my window. Is tomorrow ok? What if I ovulate before my guy gets home? I know the egg can live for 12-24 hours, but how long does it take the spermies to get up there and find the egg?

  • When does ovulation happen when your temp dips?

So I know when charting your temperature that you can detect ovulation when you see a sustained rise of at least 0.4 degrees over 3 days and the "dip" before the rise is typically the ovulation day. But what I want to know is, is when does ovulation happen in relation to the "dip?" For example, my temp dipped way down today and for argument's sake, let's say it rises tomorrow and stays that way. That will mean that ovulation was today. But did I ovulate in the middle of the night before I took my temp this morning, or will it be some time today after I've taken my temp? Will it be in the middle of the night tonight and immediately my progesterone will kick in causing my temp to rise tomorrow morning?

I know nobody knows the "exact" time, I'm just looking for ball park estimate in relation to the temp "dip." Just curious if I have a chance this month. Let's say I ovulate today, I had sex on Friday afternoon, but won't see my guy till Wednesday. I guess according to the Shettles method, I have a shot at a girl, but I don't even know if Shettles is legit. I have had some EWCM for the last 4 days, with quite a bit yesterday. It's also way early for me this month too. I'm only on CD 13 and I normally don't ovulate until CD 15-16. Sorry if it's confusing.

  • Follicle size when they burst?

How big are follicles when they burst? I had an ultrasound last Friday and had 4 follicles over 18mm in size and 5 more betweent 15-16mm in size. The doctor said ovulation was around the corner, that the 4 large ones should burst and the other 5 probably wouldn't catch up in time. I did take Femara to produce multiple follicles. I'm just curious how big they should get before bursting. I know they should grow 1-2mm per day. I think ovulation was hopefully Monday or Tuesday, but my temp didn't rise until today, Thursday.

  • When will I ovulate on Femara?

My doc prescribed my Femara. She wants me to take it on days 3-7. Last month she prescribed it to me when I was already on day 4, so she said to take it on days 5-9 that month and then do 3-7 after that. Last month, I took it on days 5-9 and ovulated on day 16 (so 7 days after the last pill). I normally ovulate on days 15-17 anyway. Will taking it on day 3-7 make me ovulate earlier (like day 14)? When I took clomid I always ovulated 7-8 days after the last pill and I took those on days 5-9. (once I took clomid on days 3-7 and ovulated 9 days after the last pill.) I'm just trying to time things out right. I know clomid should make you ovulate 6-12 days after the last pill, but I can't find any info about Femara, no ballpark numbers or anything. thank you.

  • Just got bad news, I have decreased ovarian reserve. What do I do now?

After 6 years and 7 doctors, I finally have an answer to my infertility problem. I do not have PCOS, rather I have decreased ovarian reserve. I'm 32. Doctor said the next step is IUI or IVF and IVF would yield better success. It's just so expensive for only a 50/50 shot. Doc said IVF would only be 50% successful, IUI 20-30%. Has anybody been diagnosed with this? What did you do next? I've read about Royal Jelly being used to improve egg quality, don't know if it really works. I ovulate normally and my FSH is normal, it's my AMH that was "low normal." That's how the doctor determined I have DOR. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

  • Garcia on Criminal Minds and CM Suspect Behavior?

Anybody notice she had blonde hair in Criminal Minds and was back to red in Suspect Behavior. I know she used to be red on CM, but you'd think that somebody would have noticed the discrepancy knowing when the shows were going to air and that she obviously plays the same character on both shows.

  • Hey all BBT chart experts, please explain this to me?

Here's a link to my chart.

    http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/180b8f

It says I ovulated on CD 17. I thought I ovulated on CD 15, the day before my temp rised. I even stopped checking everything because my temp rised and I figured I ovulated already. I don't think I'm understanding the whole coverline thing. Can somebody explain it?

If I ovulated on CD 15, then I'm sure I have no chance this month, but if CD17 is right then I do have a shot cuz I had sex that day.

  • Is IVF my only hope now?

I'm 32, been TTC for almost 6 years. Had blood tests that were fine, HSG was all clear, ultrasound was fine. I have regular periods and ovulate every month. I did 11 cycles of clomid as a "boost" and ovulated every time, like I knew I would. I'm at a healthy weight, not overweight at all. Been taking metformin for 2 years, most recent blood test showed no insulin resistance at all. But nothing has worked, obviously. Tried for the first 3 years with my husband, now ex, and had him checked and was told he had "low motility." So I figured he was the problem. Then we got divorced, not because of this, but other issues. Well he's now a proud papa with some girl he only knew for a month before she got pregnant. So much for "low motility." My current boyfriend, who I've been with the last 3 years, has 2 young children, (age 5 and 2 when we met), so I know his "boys" can swim. He is young and healthy and I feel no need to get him checked. So my question is, with this history, is IVF my only option left?

  • Sex day before ovulation, chances good?

I got a positive OPK yesterday morning and had sex last night, and he finished twice. Based on my last few months of charting, I figured I would ovulate yesterday since I've always o'd on the day of the positive OPK. However, today I've been having O cramps, like it's happening today. I know it can happen up to 48 hours after a positive OPK but that's not normal for me. I did increase my clomid dose to 150mg this month, maybe that's why? Also, ovulation, if it's today, is about 2 days later than normal. But I can't see my guy today because of work. So is twice last night enough? Are my chances good? I did use Preseed too.

I feel like I should know that my chances are good since I've been trying for so long, but it seems like every month around ovulation I forget everything I've learned and I just need reassurance I guess.

  • Anybody told you have PCOS, but have no classic symptoms?

I was told a few years ago I have PCOS. I figured the doctor didn't know what else to say. I have regular 27-29 day cycles (randomly 26 or 30 days). I'm not overweight, I don't have excess body hair. I think my peach fuzz is excess but everyone I know says i'm crazy. I do still get breakouts right around ovulation and right around my period. I'm 32, so I shouldn't have that right? I think that's really the only PCOS "symptom" I have. Testing came back normal. I don't know what else to think. Anybody in the same boat as me? Can't get a straight answer from any doctor and told by everyone that you're normal and 'just fine' yet still can't get pregnant?

  • Did I ovulate already? Chart included?

I haven't had a positive OPK yet, but I'm already on CD17. Normally, I would've ovulated already, I normally ovulate between day 14-16. But my temps dipped on day 14 and have risen since then. I thought FF would've confirmed after 3 days, but nothing yet. Also, my cervical signs have seemed more 'fertile' after day 14. What do you think?

  • Anyone have temps drop and still be pregnant?

I've asked before if anyone had period symptoms and still turned out to be pregnant and a lot of people said yes, that they expected their period because they had all the usual PMS signs like cramping, headaches, cravings, bloating, etc. but still turned out to pregnant. But I was wondering if anyone had temps drop and still turned out to be pregnant? My temps fell yesterday and today, but no period yet. I know it's not over til it's over, but I'd hate to get my hopes up again. Should I just expect my period, or is there still hope?

I'm probably jinxing myself even asking. But I just want to know if it's possible, if it ever happened to anyone.

  • Clomid and ovulation timing?

I've always understood that, when taking clomid, ovulation happens 6-12 days after the last pill. I took it this month on days 5-9, so by this theory ovulation should be between days 15-21. Today is day 13, so I'm only 4 days past the last pill. All the other times I took clomid I ovulated 7-8 days after the last pill, around day 15-16. I also chart my temps and I know I typically get some sort of dip at ovulation. However, this month, yesterday my temp went down a little, and today went down a lot. I've been having ovulation cramps for a couple days now that I just attributed to the increased dose of clomid (first month at 100mg). I took an OPK today and it was negative. I did not take one yesterday. Is it possible that I could have ovulated today, only 4 days past the last pill? My CM isn't quite EW yet, but seems to be getting waterier compared to the last few days. I guess it's my low temp throwing me off. I did only get 4 hours sleep. Could that be it? Should I discard today's temp?

  • Going up to 100mg Clomid. Will there be any difference from 50mg?

This month I am going up to 100mg clomid. I've done 7 cycles at 50mg (5 cycles last year and then 2 cycles the last 2 months). I ovulated each time, usually on day 15 or 16 (once last year on day 18). Can I expect anything different with a higher dose? Will I ovulate sooner or later or right around the same time? Also, I've always taken it before bed so I won't feel any side effects. Will taking a higher dose increase any potential side effects?

  • When did I ovulate? Chart included.?

FF hasn't confirmed my ovulation this month. It always has before. However, I think it's because I had fevers for a week because I had a bad kidney infection. My fevers were coming down right around ovulation. I made sure to use OPKs and got a positive on CD15. Personally I think I ovulated on either CD15 or CD17. Could I ovulate 2 whole days after a positive OPK though? An OPK on CD16 was negative, so that makes me lean towards ovulation on CD 15 rather than CD17. Last month I ovulated on the same day as the positive OPK too. I also made sure to use Preseed on CD 14, 15 and 16. But I'm having period cramps so I'm worried that it didn't work again this month. Anyway, here's my chart, what day do you think I ovulated?

  • FF hasn't confirmed ovulation yet, but it always has by now?

I got a really bad kidney infection about a week and a half before ovulation. I was sick for a week before finally going to the hospital and being told I had a kidney infection. They gave me antibiotics and I'm fine now. But my problem is that I had fevers while I was sick and for about 3 days after starting the antibiotics till they started to work. My temps came down about 2 days before I got a positive OPK, which was 5 days ago. Of course, I BD'd at that time. But my temps have been right around the same since then, with only one day of a real rise. Could my fevers have affected my temps during ovulation even though my temps had come down by then? Also, could the antibiotics have affected my temps? I wouldn't think so, but FF has usually confirmed by now. Could the antibiotics affect me conceiving in any way? Again, I wouldn't think so, but still, if it's affecting my temps, what about actual ovulation?

Here's my chart so you can see what I'm talking about:

  • Anything I can do to help things along?

So I think I ovulated on either Wed, Thurs, or Fri. FF hasn't confirmed yet, but my temps are rising so I know it was on one of those days. Got a positive OPK on Wed morning, had sex on Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thurs, and used Preseed each time. Also took Clomid this month. So since I'm basically in my TWW now and want to know if there is anything I can do to help things along or is it up to biology now? I guess I should know that I can't DO anything, but wait and not stress out. But this sucks. I feel like this was my best shot since I tried the Preseed this time. But I still want to feel like I can DO something to make it work this time. Any ideas or suggestions?

  • I think I'm ovulating today, but...?

I can't see my guy today. We had sex yesterday (with Preseed) and the day before. I got a positive OPK yesterday. My temp was low yesterday and started to rise today. Could I still have a shot at getting pregnant even though I can't see him today? From everything I've read, I should, but I guess I just need to hear someone say it and reassure me. Thanks.
