  • What is a back to back letter of credit?

Can anyone explain in simple English what a "back to back letter of credit" is, or what it's used for? I have found definitions on investing websites but they assume you have a working knowledge of banking terminology and policy.

I'm reading this article on the Bangladesh t-shirt making company Desh Ltd. and how they used back to back import letters of credit to their advantage to do something or another.

    Please help?

  • Where Can I Buy Salvia Divinorum in Maryland?

Where Can I Buy Salvia Divinorum in Maryland?

I live near DC, but anywhere in Maryland is cool with me. I heard some head shops sell it, but after looking at some of their website, no one seems to list it on their product list. Does anybody know any places that definitely sell it in Maryland?

  • Consumer Price Index Measures?

Why is a consumer price index value that is farther in time from the base period a worse measure of cost of living than a value that is closer to the base period? Can anyone list three different reasons?

  • What is a good example of Longitudinal Data?

I'm doing an anaylsis of urban vs rural population density and forest land over the past ten years. The dataset used in my problem set is an example of a cross-sectional dataset. In a cross-sectional dataset, you have one observation, taken at one point in time, for each of a number of units (e.g. people, geographical areas or jurisdictions).

I need to find an example of (i) time-series data, and (ii) panel data, also called longitudinal data.

    Any suggestions?

  • Birth Control Tricking Pregnancy Test?

My girlfriend just started on the birth control pill Trivora. The doctor told her to start it the Sunday after her next period. We have been worried that she has been pregnant until last Friday when we were having sex and found out that she was bleeding. Her flow was very light over the weekend. She started taking birth control on Sunday and by the end of Sunday she had no spotting at all and still does not. We don't know if the birth control stopped her from having her period. We also are thinking about taking a pregnancy test, but since birth control tricks the body into believing it's pregnant then will it show up as a false positive?

I know you set them off by hitting the back with the hammer, but how sensitive is it? I've always been afraid to drop ammunition on the ground for fear of it going off. Just how sensitive is it?

  • How can you raise ticks?

I was hoping someone could give me some information on how to raise ticks, as in the parasites, as pets. I want to try to raise at least 4 generations of them. I'm a vegetarian and I don't like the thought of them drinking blood. What sort of herbs and vegetables can I feed them?
