Zen light

It seems like no matter what I do, nothing seems to work out. At this age (35), I would have figured I would be making a decent wage and headed somewhere. Tried school, tried sucking up, tried being the person who picks up after everyone, tried being extra nice. Nothing seems to work. Wondering if there are any other people out there who just cannot seem to get ahead, and why they think so.

I did my schooling for medical office assistant in Edmonton through a small school. Turns out that anywhere I go for a job, the only schooling that matters is from Grant MacEwan or U of A. I would not have wated my money had I known. Who should I write to if anyone to get my money back, or am I just S.O.L.?

Nothing has ever worked out for me, and I have no reason to believe it will.

I started my job working for an edmonton based company. they want to expant to Toronto, and plan to have many more employees working for us there. This will increase my workload alot as the administrative assistant. Should I ask for a raise?

The company that I work for plays outside of the law. The rights of workers do not count, they always have pay discrepancies, as well as an attitude that they do not care. I wish I could take down businesses like this that ask you to break the law every day. I would quit, but I am poor and have no savings. Anyone know of a job out there that can save me from this? I need to make $14/h to cover bills, and have tried to get into Alberta Health Services for over 4 years now, but I swear that they just hire internally even if it is open to the public. I do not want to sell products, I want administration.

In north america when the guys play with our nipples, twisting them this way and that (like a dial) we say hey, are you trying to call Tokyo?
