How can I kick everything into high gear, so I can pass my classes?
I am currently an engineering student in my first year. I started the semester strong but I slacked off bit-by-bit and now my grades are suffering.
My classes:
Calc 3 (D)
O-Chem 1 (D)
Statics (B)
Physics 2 (C)
Physics 2 Lab (C)
Those are my grades and I know I can pass realistically, but I do not know where to begin. I keep trying to kick it into high gear but then I stop because I do not know in which way to take this all on.
Any ideas? Please be nice and make your point in a polite manner.
3 AnswersEngineering4 years agoOpinions on College Course Load?
I need some insight maybe into these classes and if this is a crazy insane credit-load. It will total to 22 Credits (normal college credits).
How do I survive this if I do this? Most I've taken was 19 credits and it was pretty hard; but I have heard some of these are fairly easy- the math really is not an issue for me, but for anyone who has taken ODE and Calc 3 together, tell me how it was please.
I am a civil engineering major who is headed into medical school afterwards.
Properties of Materials
Properties of Materials Laboratory
Fundamentals of Environmental Engineering
Mechanics of Materials
Calculus III
Ordinary Differential Equations
Organic Chemistry I

2 AnswersEngineering5 years agoHow do I gain respect from them?
I am a fairly young guy and I am a coach for my local soccer club. I have been coaching for the past 3 years and I have been playing since I was 4 years old.
No one on my teams disrespects me per-se, but there are times where I feel maybe it's my age that lets have have less respect for me.
Another question, how do I confront a player on my team if he or she is not listening to me in a good manner to get my point across and stay in authority?

1 AnswerMathematics5 years agoNew to engineering, can someone answer this?
So I am a first year engineering student and I'm studying structural and mechanical engineering (double major).
In terms of building things like maybe a vehicle or structure, what makes an engineer better at it than a tradesman?
My friend said he could do anything an engineer could, but he is not an engineer.

4 AnswersMathematics6 years agoCould this mean she likes me or slightly interested?
So I've kinda see this girl on campus before I think cause her face is familiar, but I saw her at this college event and she smiled when she saw me and said "Hey" so I teased her on her costume and she giggled. Later on when I would see her I would do it again and she didn't seem to mind. So should I go ask her to coffee or something?
I'm not very good at this stage of meeting a girl.

2 AnswersMathematics6 years agoSo I took calculus in high school, how hard will this be?
I am about to take the CLEP Calc exam to test out of Calc 1. Will it be a hard exam or easier? I am studying for it, but I am just worried.
1 AnswerStandards & Testing6 years agoWhy am I so lazy?
About me: I am incredibly smart, fast at learning almost anything, pick up things really fast, and highly intellectual. Very high IQ; both book smart and street smart. Grades have always been fantastic.
I am in my 4th year of college now and I am 20 (graduated high school when I was 16) and my grades have been pretty damn good until this past year. They have gone downhill.
I get the material really well, but when it comes to the exams I cannot pass them worth heck anymore. It feels my level of motivation has gone out the window.
Studying is getting hard now and I just cannot get myself to study.
What is going on? I really wanna fix this fast.
5 AnswersPsychology6 years agoSo which car should I get?
Tell me why you think I should get either one.
So I will be graduating soon with my engineering degree and my first paycheck will about 6k before taxes.
I really want either a BMW M4 or Lexus IS 250.
Which one is the wiser pick? Money should not be a huge concern.
