  • White spots under tounge?

So for the past week I've been getting these white spots under my tounge, and my tounge will swell. It only lasts for about a day or two, but then will come back. It is also painfull. I don't have any on the top of my tounge, gums, or insde of my mouth. My lips have also been extremely dry in the corners as well. I don't have any food allergies, but the only possible thing I could think of was the toothpaste I have been using for the past two weeks. I know I am allergic to benziote peroxide which is in some acne treatments, but haven't eaten any recently.

  • Have you experienced near syncope?

I am a healthy 25 year old who has NEVER passed out. For the past year, I have been going through periods where I will go into a near syncope. Generally, it happens after I get up, but a few minutes after I get out of bed, or when the temperature (heat) changes like when I get in the shower or if it's been unbearably hot. I've gone to the dr about it, but she said all seemed fine but wanted further testing for my heart. My grandmother and her brother have palpitations, their heart will stop pumping blood which causes a lack of oxygen to the brain causing them to pass out. They are both on medication to take care of the issue. I have had two periods of time (lasting a few weeks to a few months) where this has happened. I don't always pass out, but will be very dizzy or feel fog headed. I have also considered allergies, but symptoms did not decrease or go away with daily otc allergy meds. I am also not allergic to anything, that I am aware of, other than cats which I do not have any. If anyone has any other ideas about what could be going on, I'd appreciate the input. PS I don't have insurance so don't say go to the specialist.

  • Do you feel satisfied with your life?

I think I'm at that point in my life where I am starting to weed out the things I no longer need. It's kinda weird to say so because I'm almost 25. But I've finally realized what is importiant to me. I care much less about the material things and trying to please others, and want more to achieve more personal goals in my life.

I don't think I've ever known what I wanted to do with my life. Constantly I felt like I was trying to fit a square (me) into a circle (typical lifestyle). I feel like I am at a cross roads and my direction can take me on another adventure that I can also find personal satisfaction in, but it may cost me financial comfort.

How do you decide what the right path is for you? What types of sacrifices did you have to make in your life, was it worth it? Looking back, are there things you wish you would have done, but didn't because of fear of the unknown?

  • Do you have any New Years Resolutions?

What's your New Years Resolution? What are some memorable ones from the past? Have they worked out or do you only do them for a little while?

Mine is to stop cursing so much. I swear like a sailor and it's quite unattractive so I'm going to try not to swear quite as much.

  • Paranoid about job security?

There has been complete turnover where I work and am currently the longest surviving person in my department, which is only a year. I know it's sad. The person who does my job part time is quitting so we need another person to do my job when I have off. The problem is, I'm not sure if they are looking to replace me as well. They have a tendency to fire people for no reason other than they don't like them. I feel disconnected with our new group who have only been here for about two weeks. They hired more people than what is really necessary and I have been told they are looking for one more. I was told the part time position was posted on a certain cite, but could not find it. I also found applications on my managers desk. It looks like these people are looking for more than I am being told what is offered. There is one other person that has been here for almost as long as me, maybe 8 months. She has snaked her way to supervisor by brown nosing and squealing on people for ridiculous things, things that aren't firable offenses. I am so paranoid that I may be open to being fired. I do not work with the rest of my department because I work 3rd shift so I don't get that much time to socialize with them. But when I do see them, it is generally restricted to work conversation. How would you feel in this position?

  • I need help with my aquarium?

We got a 10 gallon tank and four tetras to start. We also added real plants to begin with. At first, everything was fine, then it started to get a red film on everything, then it turned to neon green. We added three other small tetras before it started to change color, but they died quickly as the rocks and things turned different colors. We know the ph is off, we've been trying to treat the water and keep it as clean as possible. Our Original fish are still hanging in there, they are actually quite active and seem happy. But I have noticed they aren't eating as much. They look pretty healthy other than the darker appearance. Is there anything else we can do? I just did a 40% water change and cleaned as many of the rocks as possible (maybe 2/3) changed the filter, I had to take the plants out because they were yucky looking, and added a ph treatment. The ph seems to be getting a little better, but wasn't sure if there is anything else I can do, i don't want the rest of the fishes to die too! We want to add an algae eating fish but I'm not sure if it's the best time.

  • Have you been to the Wachovia Center to watch the Flyers?

I want to get my boyfriend tickets on the upper level, but not sure what would be a good spot. Should I just get tickets that include food? Does it matter where you are to view the game from the upper level? Help!!

  • Anyone been to a ice hockey game, i need help?

I really want to get my boyfriend tickets for a game, but don't know if I want to spend the extra 60 a pop on lower level tickets. He's never gone to a live game so I really want to get this for him, it's for christmas. How far away are the upper level seats, can you see the game or do you strain your eyes? I would be getting tickets for the Wachovia Center in Philly if that helps. Any advice would be great. I know lower level would be nicer but I already got him something else, this is just a last minute gift, and wasn't sure if upper level would be ok.

  • Will a Sony CDX-GT920U car stereo fit into a 1994 Saturn SL?

My boyfriend desperately needs a new stereo for his car, but his car is ancient. I need to know if this stereo that I am looking at getting him (Sony CDX-GT920U) will fit (7w x 7.1d x 2h). If not, could you recommend one? He has all of his music on his Zune so I'd need one with an aux input on the faceplate. Something that will be reliable but not too expensive, under $200.

  • Edward vs Jacob New Moon?

Ok, I've read all of the Twilight books and even lowered my standards by watching the first movie. I know what it's all about, but I just don't understand why the media is pushing a fued of Edward vs Jacob. It doesn't make any sense because Jacob was never in love with Bella. It's stupid and I don't understand why people buy into this crap. Does anyone feel the same way?

  • For people who work the night shift?

I have been working night shift for almost a year now and I'm still not used to it. My body seems to be rejecting the idea that I can actually sleep during the day. Lately I've been having trouble staying asleep for more than two hours at a time. I am constantly waking up, rolling back over and trying to get the eight hours of sleep I know I need. How do you deal with your sleeping?

  • Why have I been fainting?

I am a 24 year old healthy female and I have been having one to two fainting spells over the past couple of months, and have been feeling dizzy off and on. I do not loose consciousness completely, but my vision goes black and I get ringing in my ears. I work at night, have had this job for almost a year now, but have been working overtime for the past two months. There is no other major stresses in my life. My doctor thinks there is something wrong with my heart, but I do not feel it beating erratically nor do I have any family history of syncopation. My blood tests came back all in the normal range. What could be the cause of this and is there anything I could try to do to prevent this from reoccurring. I don't want to go ahead with the eco and heart monitor, again I don't feel like anything is abnormal with my heart.

  • Why won't he say it to me?

I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year, we dated in the past too, and he has yet to tell me that he loves me. He clearly has strong feelings for me and I know he wants to be with me, but he still hasn't said it. I've already told him how I feel and his response was "Don't be offended if I don't say it back. I've said to too much in the past and not meant it." I understand that he doesn't want to say it just because, but we're looking at getting a place together. I need to know how he feels about me if I'm going to make more of a commitment with him. What could be keeping him from telling me?

  • What is your opinion on this situation?

When I came in to work today, I was cleaning some of the paperwork off the desk and came across an application. The application was for night audit with my boss as the referral. Under the application was a piece of paper with the notes: audit (full-time) anytime and 12.50-13.00. I am currently the full time night auditor and we are looking for a part time auditor. Does this sound fishy? What would you think?

    Additional Details

It was not on the manager's desk, it was on the front desk. She has been hiring previous co workers of hers. And I'm pretty sure she doesn't like me because I often question her about things. (Edits on my time clock, refusing to put money back that I was not responsible for, ect) I have not overstepped my rights or boundries as an employee at any time and she has nothing that I know of against me to actually fire me. Many of the people quit shortly after she was hired because of the way the company/she was treating them and I am the only one left that was hired prior to her arrival.

  • Does anyone else have this problem?

The skin between my vagina and butthole is very dry and sometimes itchy. I know I don't have a yeast infection and I wash regularly. Sometimes the skin tears and bleeds. I'm not sure if it's because of my shaving (I use an electric razor and buzz my lady region) or what it's from. Does anyone else have this problem and how can I get rid of this problem?
