I would like to find a good quality set (faucet, pipe, shower head, shower ring to fasten to the ceiling above the tub....or even a way of using separate parts from a hardware store to accomplish it...any ideas?

We met at the rental house and he signed a checklist (his) that shows the premises are in good condition and said he would send the deposit check in the mail because he forgot his check book. It's been almost 3 weeks and no check. Through emails and phone he has started to complain about various things such as the electricity being turned off after I moved out. I gave him 2 months notice before i moved out. (I told him my electric service there was ending 3/31 and that the power company needed to be called to continue service in his name or whoever s. He neglected to call in time.) He blamed me that his sump pump went off and could have caused damage. Also he started to complain about the lawn saying that he needed to put some seed down and intimating that maybe I would have to pay for any lawn care he needed to do. I was responsible for mowing the lawn and leaf removal while i lived there which I did do....There was nothing in my lease about the tenant having to do seeding or fertilizing though...Anyway I plan to go to small claims court if I need to and have told him so. My question is do you think I will be successful in small claims court? (i have good documentation and pictures) Also do you think i will need a lawyer? I live in New York state. Any knowledge of this kind of situation or the laws or moral support is welcome. Thanks.

I left the house spotless always paid my rent on time and even raked the yard before i moved out....as he requested. He said he would send the deposit in the mail....It's been 2 weeks and he still has my money. I called him today and he evaded me and said he was busy in a meeting.....and even complained that I had the electricity turned off after i moved out (he was worried about his sump pump)...It's bizarre. I don't know what he is trying to pull. Perhaps i will need to go to small claims court to get my deposit. Does anyone out there know how this works.? What are the money limits?...for example if his decided to send me only part of the deposit...claiming that i did something wrong or that it cost him to seed the lawn or something obtuse like that.

I've decided to eliminate sugar (as much as humanly possible) from my diet (in order to loose weight and for health)...but I am wary of artificial sweeteners because im afraid they will have an aftertaste and because they are not natural and possibily not good for people...but regardless please give me tips on the best sweetener that hasnt caused cancer in rats etc. What are the best sugarless candies and the best sweetener for coffee or tea.?

He might be stretching it a bit. At any rate he wants to deduct that from any equity i would get out of the house. At the moment he is living in the house and i am renting a small cottage type house that is very austere. My rent is much higher than his small mortgage. Does anyone know the law on inheritance money when it is used to improve a house that is jointly owned? He still has the vast majority of his inheritance in his own bank account...and he may be soon coming into more money from a rich aunt. Should i accept his $50000 deduction from equity on the house...do you think it's fair?
