What can I say about me? I'm a jack of all trades master of some lol, with the exception of math. I like to read and I'm a fairly decent writer, mostly poems and short stories. I like to read fantasy books. Some of my favorite authors are R.A Salvatore, Terry Goodkind, Margaret Weis And Tracey Hickman, J.R.R Tolkien, Robert Jordan. I'm a computer operator for a hospital and I do computer systems operations for a unique organization. I've also been doing computer repair for about 5 years. Vampires have always been of interest to me. I have recently started looking for books about vampires or with vampires in them. I also play Magic the gathering and have been playing since Unlimited was released. I don't claim to know everything about MTG or any other subjects I answer questions for. However I do try to stay current in the MTG Rulings and the new expansions that are released. I also try and provide a well rounded answer. I'm also a proud Air Force Vet

  • What are some christmas gift ideas for a 15 yo boy's first christmas?

My 15 yo son is celebrating his first Christmas. He has a sheltered life from living with his mom. Now that he is living with me, this is his first Christmas which he is excited about. I've already got him clothes and gift cards. He has proven that he is not responsible enough for big ticket electronics such as video games as they end up broken quickly. Because this is his first Christmas I want to get him something cool that he can unwrap. He doesn't have a whole lot of interest in things since he is still adjusting to the capability of choosing his own interests and not what his mom says are his interests. Any suggestions for a WOW factor gift on Christmas morning?

  • MTG Mana Filter Deck Revamp?

I'm rebuilding my mana filter deck. This was originally a type 1 deck. I'm looking for a green creature that has an ability similar to skyshroud elf(mainly able to filter mana without tapping). I'd like to keep the deck primarily green but I'm not against using artifacts.

The only stickler of a stipulation is that it has to be something where a foil version was made.

    Suggestions?

  • Assistance with adding legs to a table?

I found a round piece of wood at a garage sale. It used to be a table with folding legs. It still has the metal pieces that the metal legs attached to but the legs are gone.

I'm trying to find a way to attach legs to it so I can use it as a sports card sorting table. I figured since it is round a tripod style of leg would be best. I think I've seen a plastic fitting that seems like it would serve the purpose.

Does anyone have any ideas? Ideas better than mine are most welcome. Mahalo for your time.

  • Glow in the dark fishing pole?

I was out fishing one night and I saw someone who had a glow in the dark fishing pole. To be accurate, the glow was coming from within the pole as if it had lights built into it.

I've tried google and I have not found anything that even closely resembles it. I did find an Electroluminescent Night Fishing Pole Kit but that involves cables or wiring. This was just in specific parts inside the fishing rod. Before you say why didn't I ask the person what kind of pole it was, I don't like encroaching on another fisherman.

Does any have any idea what kind of pole this could be?

  • 80's Rap Song Question?

Ok so I'm looking for this rap song from the 80's time period. So here is all I remember about it. The beginning had an into that said "If any of your party should be caught or captured, the secretary shall disavow any knowledge of your actions".

The only other part I can remember is "Now the next thing that you hear, on the keyboard is shakespeare" which was followed by a keyboard solo.

Does anyone know who sang it or it's name?

  • What is the most effective way to strip paint from a book shelf?

I'm trying to get more guy time in with my son. I figured this would be a good project for both of us to do together. The shelf is currently black with some hints of a pastel purple( I know I know, why purple? I wondered the same thing when I got the shelf.) It also has a press board backing but the rest of it wood.

I'm going to replace the press board with wood. I'd like to have this shelf to have that varnished/stained look instead of the color it is now. I know I'm going to have to sand it but what is the best way to remove the paint without taking the shelf apart? Or what is the best way to achieve the look I want?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time?

Since I've started reading this series (which I have not finished yet) I've come to have certain favorites as far as characters. I've been searching for a website that has the original artwork for this series. I'd like to see how the artist who did the covers (or the author himself) pictured the characters.

I've tried google and I can only find fan art which is not what I'm looking for (even though some are quite good). Is there a site that has the artwork I am looking for?

  • What is the best Vitamins/Minerals for men?

I googled the best vitamins/minerals for men and found this webpage.

    http://ezinearticles.com/?Best-Vitamins-and-Minera...

    It recommends taking the following:

•Boron: This mineral is found in many supplements but men should take only 3 mg per day to help improve their memory and concentration. In addition, boron helps in preventing prostate cancer. You can get boron from eating raisins and almonds.

•Calcium: Men need around 1,000 mg of calcium each day. If they smoke, it can hinder with calcium absorption and they would have increase the intake marginally. Just as in women, calcium helps to build stronger bones in men,

•Chromium: The recommended daily allowance of chromium is 35 mcg. It helps to build muscle and prevent hypoglycemia.

•Folic Acid: Folic acid is not just meant for women. Even men will benefit from taking it. It helps to reduce the risk of dementia, improve blood flow to the brain and the body, reduce

  • Questions about refurbishing a bookshelf.?

Ok all you do it yourselfers...

I recently acquired a bookshelf. Its in need of some TLC. I'm replacing the back of the shelf which is pressboard like material which has slightly started falling apart with a sheet of plywood.

The rest of this shelf has been painted black. The paint has started to peel revealing purple paint underneath.

So what is the best way to strip the paint off so I can varnish or stain (haven't decided yet) the whole thing? Can I just buy a sander to sand it off? Do I dismantle the bookshelf completely to sand each piece?

  • Question for the green thumbs?

There was this varigated Ivy plant in my office at work. It was not doing so well so I asked the owner if I could try and save it. So I took it home and transplanted it into a bigger pot and I have it where it can get some sun and I gave it some osmocote.

I'd like to eventually bring it back to the office (if it survives). So right now its got only three creepers hanging from it. I'd like to bring it back in more of a bush shape. How can I get it to grow that way?
