Say for example someone had a bad accent like a car crash or falling from a great height and somehow managed to survive but was unconscious or in a coma or even something "simpler" such as not wakened from a seizure, would it be possible for a person not to wake up simply because they don t want to even after their brain returns to normal ( no swelling etc ) ? I don t know how else to explain but if it helps think of the NCIS episode where Gibbs is in a coma after a bomb on a ship ( hiatus is the name of the double episode, season 4 finale ( maybe season 3)) would it be possible to have a psychological reason for not waking up instead of a physical one ? Ok so this might sound silly at first but basically I can do a handstand but when I kick up I can t keep in. The hand stand position. Let me explain a bit better. I can do a handstand and support my weight on my hands but I can t stay in the air I always end up going from feet to hands to feet in the way that when you do a cartwheel your legs rotate over your head, that s what happens when I do a handstand. I can do them against walls and support myself for a few minutes so I don t get. Why I can t stay like upside down without flipping over? How do I do that?

ive managed to workout a=7 by ploting the first line on the graph and then ploting (5,6) then drawing the line parallel to (2,4) and (3,2) until i got to 2 on the y axsis then deducted a from that but that isnt how we are suppsed to do it and it is worth 3 marks so could someone explain how it is done by showing working ?

ok so im 16 which is the age you need to be before applying to join the rnr. i live in scotland and am sitting highers this year ( spanish , french , maths, english , biology and chemistry if you are wondering) and am considering joining the navy reserves. what is your opinion i know it is pretty out there but i am currently a straight a student and am aiming for A * in all exams and the dux ( ambitious i know but we all have goals) i have wanted to join the forces since i was 2 ( preferably raf but navy is just as good) most of my family have been in the military including my dad and we moved to cyprus for a period of time so i am aware of the sacrifices i know you need to dedicate 24 days a year and i am aware of the physical and medical tests you need to pass ( i qualify for both as i am capable of the physical challenges) but i would complete the 8 week training

beforehand as a safety measure. i wouldn't be deployed. i don't support war, personally i think armys should be within a countrys border to protect against invasion , not to invade. whta are the pros and cons and could you give your own thoughts incase there is something I missed ( which I probably did). and no war is bad crap i know that and please don't call me stupid i am just considering it and haven't actually committed already but i am seriously thinking about it. thanks in advance

Like really can someone explain why? Before you start I have read the bible but it still doesn't make sense? What makes it a sin? Why is it wrong? Like murder is pretty obvious - you are taking away someone's life but could someone please analyse it like what I did with murder? It doesn't cause pain so I really don't understand? i was supposed to be going on a school trip to france , i payed all the money in person to the receptionist but i got a recept for the £50 deposit but not the other £200 and the school have no record of it, i cant go on the trip because of a medical condition and my dad wants a refund , i live with my mum and stepdad but my dad payed for it and my stepdad got a refund of the deposit but not the £200 my dad wants to get the police involved but there is no evidence either side - any ideas what will happen? or advice please? oh and also how to reduce stress as this is 2 days before my exams :)

i have seizures and am in hospital geting a video eeg test done but it lasts for 48 hours and i want to have an episode during this time that way they can do something? i am 15 and dont really have many triggers so how do i "force" a seizure or show abnormal brain activity / epileptic brain activity on an eeg?

im going on a trip with school and its a residential for 2 weeks, there is 12 of us going ( 6 boys and 6 girls) its 2 to a room and its single beds instead of bunks. i will be sharing with one of my bestfriends. we both get up early in the morning. 4:30 / 5 at the latest. each morning we both like to make either tea or coffee ( sometimes bovril) but we need boiling water ( or at least warm water) we have access to water ( we can buy it the day before or take it with us) but not to a kettle or microwave or a stove and there is fire alarms in each room so lighters and matches arent good ( unless there is a way to get rid of the smoke from a match) any ideas what we can do apart from skipping the coffee and waiting to the alicated breakfast at 8 . we are used to getting up so early because we are athlets and train and shower before school. and there is no chance either of us will go back to sleep . thanks in advance

so my friend told me she is feeling down but wont tell me why , i asked but she said it is too burdening and too complicated. she didnt say she had a boyfriend so i ruled out a break up and nobody she knows died. please i am really worried about her , she means the world to me and i just want to help her but i dont know how to. if i cant help her i would at least like to make her smile/laugh and show her how mych i appreciate her so any suggestions, i domt have many pictures with her. we're teens so drinking is out of the question and anything else like that is out too. ty in advance

So like I said I think I have epilepsy, last year I was diagnosed with non epileptic attack disorder but over the last 2 weeks my seizures have changed: I normally only have prolonged myoclonic seizures ( thr one where one of your limbs start shaking expect mine last for 2 hours instead of 30 seconds) but now I have started having tonic clonic or grand mal ( the name changed so I don't know what to call it) quite frequently ( one a day at least and during my sleep as well) but even my senses have changed the only thing that tastes or smells like it should is chicken pot noodle and lynx Africa and I know also have difficulty talking and even after the big seizure ( the grand mal or tonic clonic) I am like a 5 year old ( I'm fifteen but will happily watch bob the builder, cebebies or play dinosaurs or pirates I still remember how to do my school work but can never focus for long enough like today in biology there was text book work with a diagram of a cell and I thought it looked like a smiley sun with freckles ( it was a burst cell) but my mind thinks it's five basically, I think I have either been misdiagnosed or also have epilepsy so what do I do?

Hi so I have to write a german essay about my school and I don't have a german dictionary or a textbook to help translate so could someone please translate and btw Google translate isn't working properly.

I study nine subjects, including biology, English and Spanish. My favourite subject is chemistry because it is challenging and you always have to use your brain. I am good at maths and biology. I don't like English as much as I like my other subjects.

The school has good facilities. There is a large library, a swimming pool, four science laboratories and dozens of class rooms. The library is round and has some computers and laptops. We sometimes go there to do research if it is a small class but we can also go to one of the computer suites. The swimming pool is used for gym class and is rented out to other clubs and organisations outside of school hours. We use the science laboratories on a regular basis to complete experiments but only if we are supervised by a teacher.

The school uniform is either a polo shirt and school jumper or shirt and tie with black trousers or skirt and black shoes. We are not allowed to eat or drink in class, unless it is water. We aren't allowed to use phones or mp3 players. We must turn up for school on time at half past eight and be polite and respectful to the staff and other students.

Ok there might be a lot of reading but it is really important please just help. Hi I'm fifteen and live in Edinburgh. I moved house about a month and a half ago with my mum, her boyfriend, my aunt and cousins. It is my aunt kicked my mum's boyfriend out because they had a really big argument so he moved to London and my mum followed him and left me with my aunt ( I wanted to stay) I don't want to move from Edinburgh because I have lived here most of my life I am in fourth year at school which is a really important year and I would miss my friends too much ( don't say I will make more, I'm not moving! ) my aunt is happy for me to live with her ( I have all of my life) I don't know my dad so I can't move in with him. My question is what would happen if my mum tried to take me out of school during lunch or break and take me down to London and how can I stop her from making me move? Also what are my rights? (I'm 15 in 3weeks)
